Survival in Jurassic Park

Okay. Since we do have very little posts left, do you think we should make another thread for the not necessary RP chat that goes on? Just an idea. Not sure if you can put another thread up. : /

Technically we can not.

Also, do not worry, as I have

said, I do not mind the chat.

It is just that when you notice

that something is not moving on,

it is better to stop than to make

a remark about it being slow - otherwise

we only take posts counts.

There is nothing bad about this, but there

are other RPs waiting to be approved as well,

meaning it will take some time until we get

to 'part 2'.

YOUR ORDERS HAVE BEEN FULFILLED CAPTAIN! *salutes* :D

Thank you.

No we can't really make another RP chatting thing like Cornerian Bar 3 until one of the 3 active RPs have taken their turns...but I'd ask Juilus about this...

I doubt that will work. At most

we should see about the post-count

limit, but well, Julius seems to be strict

about his rules, so I doubt that will

work either.

Can't we just make a sequel?  I mean, it seems easy....

It is but the point is, we need to wait for Aspear to post. I had a feeling that we needed to make a part 2 but the thing is though, what happens before we make a part? Whats the progess of our RP?

I just need to make a 'part 2' request

at the RP requests subforum, that is all.

BUT, we have to wait until this one is

locked first.

For there to be a second, we needs to show we were covering ground, and not just twiddling our fingers.

This is exactly what I am talking about.

If all we have is some nice chat, sure,

it will be cool and everything, but I named

it 'Survival in Jurassic Park' for a reason you know.

Also, Second parts usually carry on the players from

the first part, which means that we need everyone to

play on this one and maintain at least some interest.

I almost can't believe how fast this roleplay moves. I prefer it when I have at max two new pages a day, not 20.

I'm afraid that if it doesn't slow down considerably, I'll have no other option but to sit the entire thing out. Simply don't have anywhere near the time to spare for skimming trough so much text.

To be honest I did not expect it to move that

fast either. For now I called for a slow-down,

I hope it works. Everyone arounds seems to

enjoy more fast-paced stuff, but hey, that also

slow-downs the advancing of the events.

You're close. You had little mistakes, but you're close to piecing it together.

Lemme give you a tip:

Some pics cover terrain that are already in another pic.

If you want to, I can videotape and record a video showing the whole map, and I can e-mail it to you.

you more to do, you already done a great

job [thank you for that] but I am just too

dumb sometimes.

Piecing it would take a longer time. I'll record the map today, I'll attch the video and e-mail it to your MSN ASAIC (As soon as I can)

I just thought of something. Currently, I happen to be taking a walk down memory lane by playing one of my oldest remaining computer games, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. It's like all the other zoo simulators out there, except that as the name suggests, we're talking Jurassic Park here.

And as so happens, there is also a great sandbox mode there, in which I could throw together a very well thought out park in no time, and then make a map of it.

A rather good game, But the frustration of money and preventing the creature's from dying made the Game difficult to enjoy.

Sure, go ahead!

Actually I had it tried

once, and it was quite cool.

I will see. What I plan to do

is using a new 'arragement'

of Geo's map to see which

area/place we are currently

at.

We could have a smaller map

for the Visitor's Center or neighboring

places, (think of 'zooming in').

I actually found running the park a piece of cake. What limited the fun for me was the grinding, to little variety, and I'd have preferred it a little grimmer. Predators which actually tried to escape from their enclosures instead of running scared away by the sight of a small Landcruiser.

I could go on and create my take on the island as a whole, and then you'd have the possibility of chosing which one you'd prefer to base the roleplay around.

I am however unable to zoom into to many details, so the parks centre would be something better suited to traditional drawing.

I Really did like the Occasional Hands on use With some of Attractions and such. I sometimes used to purposly to Move My T-Rex into an anclosure with a Level 1 fence Just So I could have a good reason to use the First person Veiw Sniper Rife on a Warden's Helicopter. But I probably wouldn't make stupid choices like that anymore if I started  playing it again.

O-Kay, I will see about it.

Perhaps we can let everyone

choose? I can in the end make

any modifications needed to any

map, so I will let 'the people'

role-players decide it.

That is a good thing to

keep in mind. Predators

tend to be agressive, not

evasive/summisve (save

for the tiny ones that attack

in groups)

Now If only someone make a drawing and map showing some of the other RP's.... k_e_blush.gif

He, he, well, in this case it is specially,

because the map only adds stuff.

I mean, it serves a guide for everyone

to 'where you are know', and for me,

I will keep track of movement of pretty

much everything.

Well, Hammond was pretty much

'WTF?' about it. *Point to the post

where he wonders about the guests

initial idea of the park*

Once you've done your map and DRL chose it, at least I'm not going to be blamed if my map was ugly for someone...

Or maybe...

If DRL likes both of our maps, we can somewhat 'combine' it to create a larger and better one. What do you think?

I will have a vote about it.

I have a good idea in mind,

for example I can use the 'places/sectors',

but keep the overall map of the island drawn

by myself.

We will see once they are done what most

of you want. I think my idea suits it quite

nicely, combining stuff from both 'islands',

but giving me room for more planning.
