Samantha Weltzin
*Senses ridicule.*But yes. We -are- skeptical. It's the Internet, and people lie all the time about any number of things, from gender to age to ethnicity to past experiences.Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I'd say a link to a sound file saying, "Hello, StarFox Online! This is Mike West and you guys are a bunch of skeptics" in Fox's voice may suffice.Granted, that -could- just be a really good impression if it's supplied, but honestly at this point I'm inclined to believe it given the Facebook statement. If you're not who you say you are, this is one of the most elaborate trolling attempts I've ever seen. :D

There are a few reasons why I would see this as a hoax. First off is the name he registered under - "voice". Sounds a bit more mysterious and why he wouldn't use something simpler like Mike West is beyond me. Second is his suggestion to friend him on facebook - yet a simple facebook search using the "Mike West Voice Work Seattle" phrase that he suggested yield no account results and only 3 links to outside sites about or concerning Mike West. Thirdly the information he provided could easily be located elsewhere...like on Mike West's website for example. Fourthly, if I were an admin or mod I'd track the IP and email address to see if it is really coming from Seattle or if it's a proxy. There have been other accounts on SFO that have been based on other famous video game personalities that have been created in a relatively short time span to suspect it might be the same person.Of course I sure hope it really is Mike West, but I reserve my own judgement until I get some answers to my questions :P

Guest Julius Quasar
You're Mike West...THE Mike West...."shut up"! (meaning in the expression of disbelief "shut up", not the mean "shut up")Are you messin' with us!? I'm sorry, dude, but I find it hard to believe. If you are the real deal, and can prove it beyond the shadow of a doubt I'll eat my words... Fandoms for Mario are scary, fandoms for Zelda are.... all wearing their tinfoil hats too tight, fandoms for Metroid are more wanky than the Krystal fanboys.... the list goes on. Sol-Ratcht Saporro
Now, to actually put in some thought out concerns. Because the last 3 posts did nothing for the relevance of this thread. Well, if you are not the voice behind Fox McCloud for SF64 you sure talk a good game. You've got enough information to fill out a wiki spot I must say. You haven't caused a problem sir, it's just that the wave of skepticism was piling up more and more as more members caught on to your post. I'd say you rode it out just fine. Let me tell you, if you thought this was an uproar, this is just lukewarm compared to some of the other stuff on here. And I do apologize if my joke came out as a bit raw. I like to joke a bit with the new members.I still have my reserves though. The nail in the coffin of skepticism for me would be if you provided a voice clip mentioning Starfox-Online or something just SF-O exclusive. You don't have to entertain the idea I'm just saying, it will resolve a lot of doubt that many of us might still have. Sorry, I don't do Facebook/Twitter etc.Speaking of exclusiveness, how come you only joined here instead of Arwing Landing as well? They're one of SF-O's affiliates and the member base over there is larger. (I can't remember if its THE largest though). We have members here who are a part of both AL and SF-O. I'd figure you'd like to see more fans. That about sums it up for me.

Sol-Ratcht Saporro
Ever considered the fact that one might lose his voice talent after many years?True, but Fox's voice didn't seem like a big stretch. It might have been. I also said, he did not have to entertain the idea. But a voice clip would seem like the undisputed proof. I mean wouldn't that be the most logical? Besides, that spring radio drive broadcast was within a year, if I remember correctly so, I believe he still got it.
