Milkyway64
He's my favorite character to play in Assault's multiplayer because he's fast, I think your memory is a little mistaken. Peppy is SLOW. Slowest character in the game. It's a huge blow to his usefulness, because although you're a cannon, everyone can just outrun you.

Been a couple years since I played it, so I guess I went and assumed that since he can jump like no other, he's also fast.

Dermot
Peppy is one of my favorite characters, and I especially liked his appearance and voice pre-N64 with the longer snout and the higher-pitched (countertenor) speaking voice. That's nostalgia to me. And Peppy also has rare crimson-colored eyes, which suit him perfectly. I wish non-albino crimson-colored eyes existed in real life...As for his personality, I rather like his old relationship with James. Young widowers, single dads, best friends. It's no wonder that so many Japanese fangirls draw them as having had a soulful romance during the time before James disappeared.Sometimes I like to think that both James and Peppy helped raise Fox in some way, since Vixy died when he was so young, and Peppy was around so much afterwards. (And since Peppy's wife Vivian died young too, maybe James helped out with Lucy too, though as I understand it Lucy was already a teenager or something. "It takes a village to raise a child.") With James out of their lives, Fox was already just about grown up, but Peppy guided him the rest of the way.In his role as a hero, I always considered him a venerable badass oyaji-type. He should have stayed in an Arwing cockpit, even into his 50s and 60s.
Robert Monroe
Dunno about the romance, and I prefer Peppy sounding deep rather than countertenor (you get props for using such a word though), but I do agree Peppy struck me as the type who'd have stayed in the cockpit even into his 50s and 60s. Retirement just isn't his type.

Guest Julius Quasar
DO A BARREL*shot*Okay beyond that freaking annoying line, I got a ton of respect for the old fogey. I mean he did ram the team's mother ship into a closing barrier and he nearly crashed his arwing diving down to save an old friend. He's just got a knack for saving lives huh? (Well in Assault) Since I guess, he's going to be in the sidelines advising, I hope to see a shift in focus more on his family life with Lucy and maybe some flashbacks on how he met Vivian. I also think he would do well as CDF's General.^ This
Vy'drach
How the Barrol roll thing ever became so popular is mystery, but other then that he's a pretty good character. Though can kind of ever do it when it comes to serious situations...I think it's because he was in your face about it.
Thu'um
t think it was his obsession about it. it was somthing to bend into comady. :peppy:
Robert Monroe
It became a meme because of how obstinate Peppy says it. He technically only says it once, on the Corneria stage.
Guest Mr. Mario
Maybe it would be better if Krystal or Slippy did say DO A BARREL ROLL!!!

Vy'drach
Both on Corneria and Aquas, and likely others. (Perhaps Aquas didn't have the instructions, but I know he says, "Do a barrel roll!")
