Asper Sarnoff
As a counterpoint to Julius popular "What should Krystal Wear?" thread, I'm going to create another thread for the rest of the characters of the franchise. So, if you stumble over any outfits you think any characters apart from Krystal would look good in, or some redesigns you really like, post them here. Here's a few of my opinions.Fox McCloud: I say a refresh of his 64 outfit fits the best. Something like this.Falco Lombardi: I found this redesign of him which I liked rather a lot. Combining his red Assault suit with his old, gray flightjacket, and a headband, makes him seem really like the confident, cocky pilot he is.Peppy: Like him as he is with the gray trenchcoat over the jumpsuit. It really fits him.Slippy: Not sure, but definatively not the yellow jumpsuit from Assault. Some dirty overalls considering he's a mechanic doesn't sound like a stupid idea.Wolf: Let it be said, I really like trenchcoats. They just make everything 100 times more badass. So I really liked the concept classic SF fan Nejinoki made of him. However, as he become a lot more ripped and active after the days of SF64, such an outfit wouldn't fit the new Wolf. Therefore, once again Whitefox89 have put together a favorite of mine.Panther: Definatively an expensive tuxedo outside the cockpit. In it, I'm not sure.Leon: This is a hard one. But overall, I think FredrykPhox has got something going with his take on him, as a normal attire at least.

Robert Monroe
Everyone should at least have access to their "64" costumes, ie jackets and jumpsuits... and NOONE should ever wear those goldawful spandex costumes from Assault ever again.Individually, Starfox is pretty much good as is using the 64 standard. Personally, I wouldn't mind some Scottish influences on Fox, really. (If I ever saw him in a kilt that would be totally ridiculous but I would probably love it)Falco definitely could wear a headband more often. His SFA costume wasn't bad, either.Slippy should have some nerdy and some workhorse clothes. Oxfords by day, mechanic suit by night. I also liked his double-breasted brown Eisenhower from SFA.Peppy should dress like the old war horse he is. The long trenchcoat, an old uniform, ect. Things that compliment his wisened look.Wolf, I've said before in my AU reimagining oh him, I see as a cross between a Rocker and a Desperado. Something that plays up both his Britishness and his badassness. Long dark coats, classic eyepatch. Tough leather, none of that gimpy stuff from Assault/Brawl.Leon I see as a sophisticate, with a collection of fine, emotionless clothes. Tailcoats and suede, silks, and such. Pigma is alot like Peppy. Old war clothes, an Eisenhower jacket would look great on him. Warn out, tattered. He's a bit country too, so a neckerchief and rough heavy duty pants too.Andrew I see taking a bit of a hint from old-school anime, thinking he's the heir apparent of Andross. He's a Japanese macaque, so some Japanese influences are in order. The red longcoat and yellow scarf both work well here.Red in Japan is the color oh heroism and bravery, and Andrew sees himself as the champion of Andross' dreams. Scarves are also a theme in heros in Japan, such as with Kamen Rider, adding to Andrew's image. Panther is gaudy and self-concious. I see him in very ornate and well dressed clothes. Unlike Leon, though, who is emotionless in his wardrobe, Panther is very loud and outspoken. Ornamental, flashy, and handsome, not to mention with a hint of charming rogue. He is also something of a swashbuckler.Krystal.... is someone who I still have a hard time with. Her tribal outfit aside, I'm not sure what she'd wear. I hate her Assault costume, its too damn monochromatic and stereotypically fanservicey without paying much heed to her character.... it's something better suited for Katt (assuming it gets recolored). And in Command... just.... no. Bland bland bland is all I have to say. Will get back to her, she needs work.Katt, like I've said, is sexy and flirtatious. She's a femme fatale, and if her last name didn't give it away, based off the hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. Katt should have clothes that suit this; skinsuits, miniskirts, the works. Nothing really slutty, just thing that accentuate her outgoing attitud about her beauty. The cappy German SF64 comic had the right idea.

Dermot
You know, I think I'm actually rather partial to their original flight suits. But if I were to give them alternative outfits...I'd have to think about that.

Dermot
I have theories about their modes of dress.Basically, all the characters' flight suits are probably designed for the cold. It can get cold in space, and that's probably why all the original Star Fox team flight suits had those trademark neck scarves. Body coverage is essential in these circumstances. And since Wolf is such a showoff but can't show his skin (which he loves doing in his Brawl outfit), he dons lots of tight black leather instead - it keeps him warm and hot.Their Brawl suits are designed for combat, and their accessories somewhat reflect this. But casually, I could see the characters dressing down more, according to their own tastes.I often think of Panther casually dressed with an open shirt. It just seems to suit him. Anything that makes him seem exotic and inviting. As for Wolf, basically the same as his Brawl outfit, but without the armor. Just the leather pants, A-shirt and fingerless gloves worn casual-style. Though I could also see him with a similar fishnet-type shirt in its place, or even going shirtless just for the hell of it. Wolf strikes me as someone who likes to show off his looks - he's hotter than you, stronger than you and more badass than you, and he'll make sure you better damn well know it.If I have any other ideas, I'll let you know. As a matter of fact, I do tend to dress in a way that makes the most out of the mass I allready have. Tightfitting t-shirts, where the sleeves end where my arms are at their thickest and so on. Guest Mr. Mario
Krystal should give up her suit and wear the same clothes that Leon S Kennedy wears. She might even be better with a knife than a staff or a blaster.
