Really, the most likely explanation is that the StarFox storywriters forgot that StarWolf had bounties on their heads from Corneria when they made Panther say that. Plot holes abound in that series.

-He went through the whole Sauria mission to free Krystal from that diamond, then saved her from falling to her death. He gave her a home, trained her as part of the StarFox team and had been there for her since.

Panther has:

-Showed off some moves or something like that and done a few piloting missions.

-Nothing really else...

Not to mention the fact that Fox totally owned his hide in SF: Assault. :D

Wrong. He went through the whole Sauria mission FOR MONEY, lusted after Krystal's immobile, unconscious body, took her into his team for no reason other than "his temperature rising" and trained her to be a good pilot.

So Fox saved her and not out of love, but out of good spirit. He only thought she was hot ALL throughout Adventures, and Panther more or less thinks the same in Assault. The only difference is Krystal was in danger and needed ANYONE when Fox helped her, whereas when Panther did she was up and capable, so he got denied.

But then he saved her, and made her part of the StarFox team. They then spent a whole year together prior to Assault, so she got to know him. And him her, perhaps. She and the others were with him when he saved the Lylat system the 3rd time against the Aparoid menace. So your claim holds no water.

And, do you really think he has trekked over as much dangerous terrain as Fox, whether it be ground, water, air, or space? Or have faced hundred ft. tall opponents and gotten out of various pitfalls and booby traps as Fox has? Or is as experienced in fighting anywhere near Fox McCloud's level?

It was only for money in the beginning. This was because the StarFox team had fallen on hard times and because it was apparently Fox's first mission that was almost entirely out of the Arwing, and he had to use mehtods he would not typically use to save the day that time.

Prior to meeting Krystal he had heard her distress calls for help and he was told by the Krazoa (actually Andross) that the only way to get her out of her predicament was to bring the Krazoa spirits to Krazoa Palace. When he actually met her, he was as Mr. Krystal said, "enamored" with her. And the notion that it would save her life is what primarily drove him to save her from dying. Do you REALLY believe it was out of only lust? Then why did he seem so concerned for her well being in later parts of the game? Especially right before Krystal was released as the Krazoa energy was channeled through her to Andross.

What's going on!?! You said this would save her! NOOOOOOO!!! Wake up! WAKE UP!!!

They then met each other eye to eye and you can see some real emotion there. And as for the "Fox's temperature is rising" thing, he was blushing. When someone is embarrassed or shy (as Slippy said) in Fox's case their face burns. The cut audio pieces from the game only add strength to the fact that they were in love, especially with that last bit, "I'll only join if you kiss me."

He then accepted her into StarFox and helped her to become a pilot. He gave her a home when she did not have one. Assault evidenced that the two grew ever closer over the course of their year together. They fought on the team together and backed each other up. They were there for each other and would do anything to protect each other.

She did not even get to know Panther for even a week, heck they only meet for like a few minutes in 3 missions. That and as I said previously Fox totally OWNED him in Assault along with Wolf and Leon.

Ok, firstly, cut out the facepalm spam, its annoying and space-taking.

Secondly....

Yes, Fox saved Krystal. This amounts to a hill of beans in terms of romance. A year together? It often takes several years together for a romance to bud. If anything, Fox and Krystal should just be good friends.

Panther's exploits don't mean shit, because building a romance off of such things is shallow and stupid. Which is funny, really, I'd expect Panther to be a little bit like Gaston.

Thirdly, what is the evidence of the Krazoa being Andross? Just wondering, because while I can -accept- that theory, you shouldn't be spouting it like its fact. Because its not.

And yes, when Fox first saw Krystal, he was indeed enamored with her, much like how many a young man was "enamored" with Megan Fox when they saw her in Transformers. "Wow, she's BEAUTIFUL" does not amount to shit, and to be honest, this was pretty much the same reaction alot of furries had when they saw Krystal too. IT IS LUST, NOT LOVE. LEARN TO SEPERATE THE TWO.

Fox was worried about Krystal because hes a HERO. To him, this nameless blue vixen was an INNOCENT caught up in some war, and Fox, being the archtypical hero, is not one who would let that stand. His concern or her is not out of some "love at first sight" bullshit, but out of a sense of duty and honor as a hero to save those in need. And cut audio doesn't mean shit because its not canon. Its cut for a reason.

Fox's temperature rising I already once addressed:

Temperature implies he is flushing. Which is sensible, ebcause this scantly clad babe who he barely knows just waltzed up to him as a spontaneous sexy jazz music blares in. Its pratically Starfox: The Porno.

And no shit Fox and Krystal got closer once she was on the team, its called BUILDING A FRIENDSHIP. You think a guy and a woman HAVE to love each other because they're close? You think Fox doesn't care any more for his schooltime friend (Slippy), his wingman rival (Falco), or his damn adoptive father and mentor (Peppy)? So yeah, OF COURSE Fox cares for Krystal when she's on the team, he cares about her like he cares about everyone else, because they're basically his FAMILY.
