SlyJedi
Ok, so Krystal should be dropping Fox's **** because of his exploits, and not his personality, or romantic chemistry? Hmmm.... sounds alot like....Yeah.That response was too absurd for words and your use of that image only furthers it, as did your immature dialogue. You asked what Fox had over Panther as a character and I simply answered. And I also mentioned what he had done for Krystal in terms of their relationship. Of course they had romantic chemistry and it would grow with the series.Ok, firstly, cut out the facepalm spam, its annoying and space-taking.Why does it bother you? It was not even pointed at you.Secondly....Yes, Fox saved Krystal. This amounts to a hill of beans in terms of romance. A year together? It often takes several years together for a romance to bud. If anything, Fox and Krystal should just be good friends. When he saved her life and they first met face to face, you could see some emotion between them. Later, Krystal personally came to thank her. In the end scenes of the game Fox and Krystal's romantic interest clearly began to develop cut audio pieces to SF: Adventures only back this up. And it is not the only time Fox saved her life for sure. Even before Assault, as Krystal worked with StarFox it is logical to assume he got her out of a number of bad situations even before the Aparoid menace. And she would do the same, no doubt. And in Assault, it is hinted that Fox and Krystal were having plans about their relationship.Panther's exploits don't mean ****, because building a romance off of such things is shallow and stupid. Which is funny, really, I'd expect Panther to be a little bit like Gaston.Again you missed the point of my post. I was judging Panther as a character. But on the matter in my previous post, I also said he has done nothing to deserve Krystal, whereas Fox has done everything for her. Actions speak louder than words here. Panther is not a bad character (at least in Assault anyway) and has potential. Like I said in the first page of this thread, pairing him with Miyu would make some good character development as well as putting the issue of him near Krystal to rest.Thirdly, what is the evidence of the Krazoa being Andross? Just wondering, because while I can -accept- that theory, you shouldn't be spouting it like its fact. Because its not.Do you remember the Krazoa head where Krystal was imprisoned, the one that would become Andross. That is him. He was manipulating Fox all along so that he could use the power of the Krazoa to resurrect himself. He even called himself, "the mighty Krazoa god."And yes, when Fox first saw Krystal, he was indeed enamored with her, much like how many a young man was "enamored" with Megan Fox when they saw her in Transformers. "Wow, she's BEAUTIFUL" does not amount to ****, and to be honest, this was pretty much the same reaction alot of furries had when they saw Krystal too. IT IS LUST, NOT LOVE. LEARN TO SEPARATE THE TWO.Megan Fox and Transformers have nothing to with this. This is totally different. Fox is not the furries, nor are they him. You need to learn to separate the 2. Did you not read my last post? You are totally oblivious to what I wrote. Fox became increasingly concerned with her safety in the later parts of the game. Did you not see my quotes? Then of course there is all of his concerns for her in Assault. Sounds to me like you missed that. It seems to me that it is you who cannot differentiate between love and lust.Fox was worried about Krystal because hes a HERO. To him, this nameless blue vixen was an INNOCENT caught up in some war, and Fox, being the archtypical hero, is not one who would let that stand. His concern or her is not out of some "love at first sight" bull****, but out of a sense of duty and honor as a hero to save those in need. And cut audio doesn't mean **** because its not canon. Its cut for a reason. If that was so, then why did he seem so completely determined to save her. And why was he so concerned and heavily worried for her safety near the end of the game, even though he did not know who she was. When he first heard her cries for help, he thought that he did not have time to go after a stranger he did not know about. But when he saw her later, he was attracted to her. It is love at first sight in my view. When he contemplated on how to release his first Krazoa spirit his thoughts went back to Krystal. He even asked himself what he was doing, for he obviously could not stop thinking about her. He even says before getting the semifinal spirit that saving Krystal is his reason for getting them. The cut audio pieces non-cannon? Oh, I don't know about that. Especially the last one: Well it all hinges on one thing. I'll only join, if you kiss me." That could have happened soon after the last scene, when he asks her the question to live with the StarFox team.Fox's temperature rising I already once addressed: It was a little immature in my opinion. The feeling of a warm face also occurs when someone is flirted with from another person. And no **** Fox and Krystal got closer once she was on the team, its called BUILDING A FRIENDSHIP. You think a guy and a woman HAVE to love each other because they're close? You think Fox doesn't care any more for his schooltime friend (Slippy), his wingman rival (Falco), or his **** adoptive father and mentor (Peppy)? So yeah, OF COURSE Fox cares for Krystal when she's on the team, he cares about her like he cares about everyone else, because they're basically his FAMILY.You misunderstood my post, yet again. Of course the team is his family. It has been so for over a decade in the series' storyline. But there is more than one type of love, in relation to this game series there is family love. Fox has a brotherly relationship with Falco and Slippy, and he has a father to son love with Peppy. There is the Love a male and female have for each other. Fox has this with Krystal, romantic love. Love is love. They are both potent and equal in power. We will just have to disagree, because if we continue like this, we will get nowhere. You have your opinions and I have mine. We differ in how we see what happens in the StarFox universe. Let's just leave it at that.
Asper Sarnoff
Please cut out all those facepalm emoticons and D-motival posters SlyJedi. Those should be unnecesary for getting your point across.I also view it as quite a far streetch to say that the other part "misses the point" say something " too bloody ignorant for words" when you are exchanging OPINIONS on how to interpret the little material Nintendo have seen fit to bless us with.Apart from that, you may both proceed. Vy'drach
Nintendo has yet to confirm or deny Fox and Krystal love each other. Only instance it happens in are select Command endings. It is shown in Assault as well, what with the Sauria mission, where Krystal says in the beginning, "Finally, we have a mission together," and at the end when Tricky says he'll keep Sauria safe so Fox and Krystal can come back on their honeymoon, then questions that they're not engaged, and Fox says, "No, well, not yet," and then looks back to see Krystal with a, to me, "I like where this is going" expression. Robert Monroe
That was too bloody ignorant for words and your use of that image only furthers it, as did your immature dialogue. Big woopin deal. Ergo, you are saying Fox wins Krystal due to EXPLOITS. Panther at least has a personality. There is no chemistry between Fox and Krystal. They are a dead, void couple, a cardboard pairing made of the most generic of "hero and main chick" cliches. Fox has done NOTHING for an actual relationship in the games, except maybe stumble over some words like a dork. You don't seem to know how chemistry between lovers works, broski. When he saved her life and they first met face to face, you could see some emotion between them. Later, Krystal personally came to thank her. In the end scenes of the game Fox and Krystal's romantic interest clearly began to develop cut audio pieces to SF: Adventures only back this up. What does Fox do? Stutter his words, and act extremely cardboard when Krystal gets chased. In one level. If anything, Panther pining for Krystal will FLESH OUT their development. Fox will either have to man the hell up and win Krystal over from Panther, or lose out. Develop some chemistry, or make room for someone who does have it.Do you remember the Krazoa head where Krystal was imprisoned, the one that would become Andross. That is him. Fox's reaction to Krystal when he first saw her is basically this:Which is the same reaction alot of furries had. Which is comparable to the reaction alot of men had to Megan Fox in Transformers. Yes, he may have later on became more concerned for her safety, but that again is nothing romantic because HE DOESN'T KNOW HER. Again, his concerns for her in Adventures are out of his heroic personality, which has been one of the few consistant things ABOUT Fox since the SNES. In Assault, his concerns for Krystal are just like any other concern he has for his team: THEY ARE HIS FAMILY.I can determine between lust and love, because, hey, what do you know, I've been in a romantic relationship since 2006 with a girl I've known since 2003. No time to help a stranger was entirely because, you know, the PLANET WAS GOING TO EXPLODE. However, Fox is not impersonal, and he agreed to help this stranger because he is a COMPASSIONATE HERO. If it was anyone else, in the exact same situation, HE WOULD HAVE MADE THE SAME CHOICE. He asked what he was doing, because again, he was INFATUATED. A breif, hot flash of passion for some nameless chick he doesn't know because of her ta-tas.Cut audio is noncanon, because it didn't happen. Canon is jsut that, stuff that HAS CONFIRMED TO HAPPEN, and for all of SFA, all Krystal did was sexywalk to Fox in the ending. Your speculation is just that, speculation, and has no palce in this discussion. It was a little immature in my opinion. The feeling of a warm face also occurs when someone is flirted with from another person.Yeah, flirting, with a MAN SHE DOES NOT KNOW. No duh Fox's temperature is rising, some bodacious babe is slow-walking up to him. It doesn't change the fact he is getting hot over bodily sensations, and not because he is deeply in love with this chick, BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL HE CAN LOVE SOMEONE WHO HE JUST MET.You misunderstood my post, yet again. Of course the team is his family. It has been so for over a decade in the series' storyline. But there is more than one type of love, there is family love. Krystal flirting with Fox and Fox bungling around because of it is NOT a romance.

Samantha Weltzin
Just thought I'd throw this out, but people often forget about Krystal's reaction when Fox rescues her.It goes something like this: "Give me that!" as she takes the staff. Fox responds, "Well, thanks for nothin'" (which I found to be an awkward way of putting it, but whatever). That's not instant romance. She's a jerk to the one who saved her, and he gets annoyed with her. I mean, unless you're going to say they're fighting like a married couple already, that's pretty solid evidence that they aren't in love.

SlyJedi
This is my final post in this debate with you Robert. I apologize in advance to all other members of this forum for the length of this post if it takes up room. This is the absolute FINAL piece of my debate with Robert about this subject on these boards.Yes, I did ask what Fox has over Panther. AS A CHARACTER. Ok, so Fox has saved the galaxy 3 times. And? That's all you offered. Big woopin deal. Ergo, you are saying Fox wins Krystal due to EXPLOITS. Panther at least has a personality. No, it was not "all I offered." You obviously failed to notice my listings as to what he had done for Krystal. I was explaining Fox's character developments. As you had asked. Fox has done everything for Krystal since he first saved her life. He would do anything for her. Panther has been reputed by Nintendo (like on his SSBB trophy, the SF, Assault Game guide, & the SF Assault instruction manual) to act the way he does around all attractive females. So logically, if another girl showed up in StarFox, Panther would act no differently. Every character in StarFox has personality, Fox's is just far more developed than his over 3 games. Your opinion, obviously, and I will certainly respect that. But I completely disagree. My opinion is that they are Nintendo's best pairing yet. I absolutely love it In my previous posts in this thread I mentioned what they have done for each other, you seemed to have forgotten it. Do not assume that I do not know about romantic chemistry, because I do. I see the chemistry between them, you do not. We will just have to agree to disagree here.Ok, so what you're saying is that they developed a romantic interest within MOMENTS of seeing each other, ignoring the entire plothole that Krystal and Fox learn the other's name without ever introducing themselves?I did not say that. What I said was that you could see emotion in their faces when Fox and her met eye to eye. Fox was already interested in her. For Krystal, it looked like there was some affection there, when I saw it. Fox learned Krystal's name from Kyte, the Cloudrunner Krystal rode at the beginning of the game. As for Krystal, I believe she either could have gotten Fox's name from the liberated Sharpclaw who were all around Krazoa Palace, or from Peppy when she contacted him.Love at first sight is not love. It is INFATUATION. Its an immature feeling of passion that arises from "durrhurr she's cute". Not from relationships, but from first appearances. Relationships based entirely on these "first sight" impulses are often shallow and do not end happily. You don't believe in love at first sight, while I most certainly do. Again, your opinion. We can't agree on this. A relationship can go two ways, good or bad. It depends on what the 2 feel about each other in my view. Then again, given how Command goes, maybe that IS what happened. The makers have said that the endings to the game are non-cannon. And therefore most of Command's story is not cannon. So I believe there is still hope.Cut audio does not count, because it never happened. Its cut for a reason. The end.Again we will just have to agree to disagree. In my opinion it is kind of like having deleted scenes to a movie. How they sometimes fill in storyline gaps. That is how I feel about it.Assault does give HINTS about having a relationship, but it never says they are IN a relationship. Krystal throws some flirting at Fox, Fox stumbles over his words like a teenage boy who has never seen breasts before. That's it.The hints given in Assault (especially during the Sauria mission) are reasonable enough evidence in my view to give a general idea of where the 2 of them were headed with their relationship. In the Sauria mission briefing when Krystal flirts with him Fox was a little awkward about it, probably because it just came out of the blue. The reason Fox was like that was because in the after-mission cut scene was because he was asked about his and Krystal's plans, which was a personal matter. The scene shows to me that while Fox and Krystal are romantically involved, they have not quite reached the "honeymoon" stage yet. There are other little hints of their relationship throughout the game. And Fox has done nothing to deserve Krystal, because all your examples are EXPLOITS. He has done nothing as a PERSON to win a girl's heart. Panther at least shows romantic interest in Krystal and flirts with her, as well as offers stupidly blind heroic protection for her. What does Fox do? Stutter his words, and act extremely cardboard when Krystal gets chased. In one level. What misinterpretation. How is saving her life repeatedly and caring for her safety exploits? He has been there for her, given her a home and family, and backs her up as she would him. They have done plenty deserve each other. Did you not read my first post in this thread. The only real thing Panther did in Assault with Krystal was offer complementary remarks to her. He did not make any real attempts. He even possibly knows about her relation to Fox. You apparently missed how Fox made protective remarks to Krystal during some missions like after he saves her from Aparoid fighters. During the Meteo mission when Krystal is being chased by fighters and Krystal calls for his help, he shouts, "Kr-Krystal!" and he then goes to save her. Or during the Aparoid City mission when Krystal expresses her revulsion at how the Aparoids form inside the base and she says that it makes her feel like she is, "...going to fade away." Fox, sounding very concerned shouts, "Krystal!!!" To which Krystal replies that he is protected by all of his "warm feelings." Does this really come off as cardboard to you? Fox is romantically interested in Krystal. He just shows his affection for her through methods other than flirting. You just refuse to see it.If anything, Panther pining for Krystal will FLESH OUT their development. Fox will either have to man the **** up and win Krystal over from Panther, or lose out. Develop some chemistry, or make room for someone who does have it. Oh I have no doubt at all that is here to stay. And whose to say that Nintendo won't put in some other female character that Panther would become attracted to. As I said before, Nintendo has reputed Panther to be the way he is around any attractive females. I do however feel that Nintendo should take the next major step with Fox and Krystal's relation though.Again: I only asked for proof. Evidence. Concrete facts. I can dig the THEORY, but its still just that, because the game is entirely too vague.I presented what I could to support it. It was only evidence that was implied to me during the game. You don't have to believe it.Actually, my use of Megan Fox is a little something called an ALLEGORY. Fox's reaction to Krystal when he first saw her is basically this:Which is the same reaction alot of furries had. Which is comparable to the reaction alot of men had to Megan Fox in Transformers. Oh good grief. Comparing that picture with the scene in Adventures is like comparing apples and oranges. That is an American cartoon, while StarFox is a Japanese video game series. Fox's expression and actions are far more akin to one who has seen something like Krystal for the first time. You did not see him grinning stupidly at Krystal, or making perverted comments, or whooping like an idiot. That is because he is a better person than that and would never sink to such stupidities. Again, Fox is not the furries and nor are they him. Nor is he a real person like those "men" you are talking about. He is a fictional character for storytelling and having fun.Yes, he may have later on became more concerned for her safety, but that again is nothing romantic because HE DOESN'T KNOW HER. Again, his concerns for her in Adventures are out of his heroic personality, which has been one of the few consistent things ABOUT Fox since the SNES. In Assault, his concerns for Krystal are just like any other concern he has for his team: THEY ARE HIS FAMILY.Fox gets to know her over time. Yes the team is his family, it has been for years and will continue to. But it is possible to have a romantic and family relation with someone at the same time. And we will just have to agree to disagree about Fox's motivations for Krystal in Adventures and Assault. To me, he is very much in love in those games. It seems that we will never ever agree.I can determine between lust and love, because, hey, what do you know, I've been in a romantic relationship since 2006 with a girl I've known since 2003. Ok, so you do know what it is in real life. Not to sound rude or degrading or insulting to you or anything, but this is a video game discussion and a discussion about a game aimed at underage (kid) audiences at that. And we can offer our interpretations, especially in terms of story.Because Fox is the ARCHTYPICAL HERO. He has the **** red scarf and everything, which in Japan, makes him the Lylatian equivalent of about Kamen Rider. A brief, hot flash of passion for some nameless chick he doesn't know because of her **-***.The planet was actually falling apart. The Cornerian government only speculated that it would explode. The residents of the planet Sauria say it is being pulled apart. Again our views just differ. To me Fox was (had fallen) in love, to you he is not. And that last sentence was a little immature.Cut audio is non canon, because it didn't happen. Canon is just that, stuff that HAS CONFIRMED TO HAPPEN, and for all of SFA, all Krystal did was sexywalk to Fox in the ending. Your speculation is just that, speculation, and has no place in this discussion.I have already addressed this in this very post. And this is a discussion forum, so speculation is allowed and encouraged. And another thing, she thanked Fox personally for saving her life in this scene.Yeah, flirting, with a MAN SHE DOES NOT KNOW. No duh Fox's temperature is rising, some bodacious babe is slow-walking up to him. It doesn't change the fact he is getting hot over bodily sensations, and not because he is deeply in love with this chick, BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY IN **** HE CAN LOVE SOMEONE WHO HE JUST MET.Again, this is free to interpretation by the fans. You have yours and I have mine. And they are totally different.I believe Fox and Krystal are very much in love (such as this aforementioned scene on the Great Fox), while you do not. I see the FxK romance (A.K.A. love) here (especially how Fox then went to her and the scene ends with a fade-out shot of Fox and Krystal smiling sweetly at each other), you don't. It is alright. We will just have to respect one another's viewpoints. No need to get miffed over it.And, so, what you are saying is that a man and a woman can't just have a FRIENDSHIP? There is no evidence to support a romantic love between the two. There is some evidence that yeah, Krystal might want a relationship, she certainly flirts with Fox alot, but that pretty much just puts her on the same level as Panther, who basically does the same to Krystal. Fox on the other hand is a big fat DERP who just stutters over every advance Krystal makes on him. That is not romance. A romance is a consensual relationship between two people. Krystal flirting with Fox and Fox bungling around because of it is NOT a romance. No, I did not say that at all. Lovers can be friends as well. I say that there is plenty to support it. But as I said, a fan can choose to see it any way he or she wishes it. Panther and Krystal are not on the same level. Their methods are different. Fox is not like what you say at all. So he is a little awkward, what is the big deal. Not every developing romance is completely easy. They run into a few bumps in the road along the way. It is no reason to call Fox a bungler IMO. As I said there are other ways and actions (other than flirting) to show affection to someone, and Fox does that. To claim he is incompetent, stupid, or dumb like in the way you just did is an outrageously flat out falsehood (A.K.A. lie) that is not true in any way whatsoever, in my opinion.Once again. I apologize to fellow members of this site for the space of my post. I had to get all that out. It is my absolutely last debate with Robert on this matter. And Robert, if you wish to talk some more about it with me, do it over a PM. But really, it is quite clear now that none of us will ever change our opinions. We have both obviously made up our minds. We would really get nowhere if we went on.So at this point, it would be better for us to just agree to disagree and just move on.EDIT: I found out the the possible main reason that I love romance and you don't and try to discredit it whenever it is brought up, Robert. It is because I really love the SF games Adventures and Assault and you have said that you think they absolutely suck. I actually find it overwhelmingly immature and even hypocritical of you to castigate and shout at me over about a romance from games you like absolutely nothing about. And quite frankly, I believe you need to calm down with your attitude as well.
Vy'drach
Also, let us not forget that Brawl's Krystal trophy states that Krystal and Fox become romantically involved, and while Brawl itself is not canon, it does go hand-in-hand with other occurences. And note, Krystal is a telepath, she likely can feel other's true intentions, and I imagine Panther is nothing but amorous, looking to add another notch (or even his first) to his headboard, while Fox truly cares, is usually compassionate, and is loyal to those he cares for. You are correct. Krystal would sense what Fox's true feelings for her.
