Vy'drach
ew. Doom 3 was sick enough to me I love the people that were afraid of that game, I didn't find it scary. (I actually got a laugh at the random brains and other vital organs that would be randomly lying in the middle of the floor)
ThePointingMan
Perhaps super meat boy, I mean, you leave a trail of blood everywhere you slide, and the enemy is the evil docter fetus (who just happens to be the name of the super hero my friend used to draw long before super meat boy was mentioned)

Vy'drach
As I said before, we're just used to horror.I don't think it's that, it's just that most of the horror in that game was gore and violence based, something we are desensitized to, when real "scary" games tend to throw in psychological elements as well. We had a thread about this a while back. There are people who find RE4, 5 Doom 3 and Dead Rising scary. There are people (like me) who find all the deeper meaning psycological crap confussing instead of scary. Basicly it's the 3 horror combo. Atmosphere, Jump Scares and Phycological. What you prefer is a matter of taste. I like Jump, followed by atmosphere.
Vy'drach
I don't mean psychological as a complete and total mind *beep*, just that it has more to it than "oh look, a monster walked around the corner right in front of me." Atmosphere falls under what I consider to be "psychological."
