Knew it! Oooohhh, you dirty old man, you!

Oh, he just likes a little yuri.  He's not necessarily a dirty old man. :3

Leon: He seems to delight in "torturing" his adversaries....perhaps in a kinky way...he always likes to sneak up behind guys [in combat]...

Miyu: She seems a little "heavy in the boots, if you know what I mean ;)

Scales: He seems to enjoy being surrounded by guys, in close quarters, a lot of the time

Shears: VERY well dressed, also seems to enjoy being surrounded by guys, in close quarters, a lot of the time

Wolf: He never seems to consider a female for his ranks, he's VERY fit....enjoys being surrounded by guys, in close quarters, a lot of the time

I voted, but I'm too lazy to explain who and why =P

I will say, however, that I -don't- think this topic has any reason to be removed.

What's "Yuri?"

Simply put, girl on girl.  Not simply put, let Dermot explain XD

All, a Japanese cultural topic, how fun. ^_^ Yes, what Ris Grestar said is a bit on the simple side. :3

Basically, "yuri" (Japanese for "lily" as in the flower) is the genre of lesbian relationships.  While it can be in the dirty-old-man sphere, it can also be done very organically and age-appropriately, as in Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura or Revolutionary Girl Utena.  Much of the time, yuri is made by men for men.  But sometimes it is made by women for general audiences too (like all of the above examples).

The opposite counterpart is "yaoi" (of uncertain Japanese meaning), which are gay male relationships that are written by women to appeal to women (and are popular with girls and housewives).  Both yuri and yaoi have a degree of mainstream integration in Japanese entertainment for all ages.  I was actually wondering how long it would take for people to realize that the family film "Arashi no Yoru ni" which I mentioned in the Lounge is actually a yaoi film for children.

The third (and much rarer) genre is "bara" (Japanese for "rose" as in the flower), which are gay male relationships that are written by men to appeal to...men.  It's not as common simply because there aren't as many gay men as there are straight or bi men, so bara exists mainly as a niche genre.

*drools*  :P

No offence but I do not find two girls pairing over...

'Attractive'. Maybe it is because I see as the same

as Male + Male, but hey, I have nothing against

any of that...

Okay.  But did I do something wrong?

Hell no!  Don't let certain members get to you....their opinions don't hold value around here...

By the way, I heard that "no offense" is beginning to lose its ability to not offend - a friend of mine wrote a very thought-provoking essay on it.  I prefer to say "with all due respect". :3 Then it emphasizes the respect you have rather than the offense you fear. ^_^

Oh, I see. Well, that is a better

thing to say, I think. We are all

for civility and comprehension, right?

All opinions hold value even if they are stupid. Come on now, don't lie for the sake of buttering someone up.

Thank you, sir!

*Puts it on*

But seriously, myself?

I am quite weird. If in story

a guy/gal changes gender, I have

no trouble treating him/her that

way, as if she/he had been

of that gender since we met...

Or like that. HECK, probably if

I suddenly underwent such a change

I would not mind it at all.

Yes. You are exactly correct.  "LGBT" is a very neutral and respectfully broad term.

And if you read the explanation, you'd see that that's not an issue here. :3

My opinion on the subject is close to what J. Clarkson says in the end. :P

This is not meant as offensive, that I can assure you. And if you find it so, I apologize

With that out of the way, let's get to what Starfox characters I think would be most likely to have an alternate sexuality. This is all speculations for the fun of it.

First of, I suspect Miyu could be bisexual. We don't know anything about her, but she still strikes me as not completely unlikely to be so.

And thus, we have to put Fay in as well. She's more of a lesbian I think.

Leon, could probably be either bi or gay. But Wolf is dead straight, which Leon finds annoying since he has a crush on him.

Would be hilarious if Falco was homosexual. On the other hand, he and Katt would make such a lovely couple. I can't bring me to break them apart like that.

Aparoid queen is probably hermaphroditic, and reproduces without sex, like the Alien Queen from the Alien films.

Apart from that, I can't think of much else. Perhaps Andrew, or Katt's blue cat friend from the "Farewell beloved Falco" Manga.

*shudders* I hate the internet, can't randomly search things as that pops up with all the subtlety of a baseball bat to the face. (Not you, I just actually had the misfortune to come across that last night)
