So, what's your take on the nephew of the main villain of the series?

Over the years Andrew has been pestering and entertaining us with his cries for: UNCLE ANDROOOS!!!

But, what's your take on this character? Do you like or dislike him? And why? What could be improved with him? And other things related to this character.

I think he is there for Comic Relief.

It's not a secret, but Andrew is one of my favorite characters of the Starfox Series? Why you ask? There is much potential with him, not just for serious plots but because he's comical. He is not the best and deluded in his arrogance, believing he was given the right become the New Emperor of Lylat following in his Uncle's foot steps. Killing him off, to me would be ruining what potential humor there is for him. I don't think by any means he will ever be a main villain, there is some joy after you shoot him down and he continues to yell at you.

Andrew has a connection to the past, of a powerful figure who nearly took over Lylat. Sure, you can argue Dash has more of a connection now than Andrew has, but Andrew interests me because he's probably spoiled, he's whiny, a total uncle's boy, flawed to the core and while he might have the genius his uncle had - but also the arrogance amplified. Underneath that stupidly arrogant, condescending personality that you can barely take seriously might be a brilliant mind. Too bad he prefers style over substance.

Perhaps Andross was at one point, planning for Andrew to be the Emperor but at the last minute realizing his personality that it might not be good otherwise. I don't think by any means, like many fan fictions I've read that Andrew was abused. Not even through some Stockholm Syndrome of sorts. He's simply a fanatic, a loyalist, and won't see anything wrong in Andross' or his actions unless he is forced to go through a major change or character development.

This in some ways, could make him a tragic figure but you still have to get a chuckle out of him due to how absolutely tenacious and ridiculously off the wall he is with his schemes for revenge, for Uncle Andross, and everything.

While I don't expect him to be a major character ever again in the Starfox series, I still find him probably one of the most hilarious ones and do not wish death on him on any means. He's too funny, removing him would be terrible.

Konchaski beat me to it. I love Andrew for basically the same reasons. He is a gateway into the past, and shows the side of Andross that Fox and company would never see: the loving parental one. Andrew has to be fanatical over his Uncle for SOME REASON, after all. I'd love for him to become a recurring antagonist who constaintly fails at trying to revive Andross' legacy.

I hate Andrew the most.  He's annoying, useless, he can't fly, fight, or do mechanic stuff.

That "Uncle Andross" cry is soooo annoying.  His voice in SF64 was bad, but his Assault voice was HORRIBLE!  He sounds like he's forever trapped in puberty!

I'd rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in my ear than have to listen to Andrew's voice in one more Star Fox Game...I'm glad they killed him off.

It is not confirmed or denied if Andrew is dead. And only Command's ENDINGS are non-canon. The events have yet to be decided.

Yes. In SF: 64 he was the easiest one to shoot down. And he is still not a challenge in SF: Assault.

As for him dying in Assault, I would not be to sure of that. His ship just got shot down (it did not blow up) and it was not that far of a drop. And he was still able to give out his defeated cry as he dropped.

Unlike with Pigma, who's death by explosion looked convincing in Assault, I believe it is possible for Andrew to return

Considering Andrew survives all the crashes n SF64.... yeah. No way that piddly shooting down of his commandship in Assault killed him.

I'm also pretty sure if Andrew was ACTUALLY DYING he'd have more to say than UNCLE ANDROOOOOOOOOSS.

Or at least be sobbing it in a "oh my god I am dying" sort of way.

I like how  Andrew is Andross's nephew and is an "Andross Wannabe", yet in a lot of ways he is the antithesis Andross (Inept, not overly intelligent, obvious, etc.)
