Actually, I think that would be the one character most everyone would agree with you on.

Oh come on, I was trying to make fun of myself. Besides, didn't Miyu get the most votes? :P

I was being honest - I don't have any opinion of Andrew either way. :3 His only real appearances were in Star Fox 64 (which I didn't like) and the first level of Star Fox Assault (which I didn't play/watch through because of...Krystal).

I know, but I don't think anyone would defend his sexuality.

(Yes, this is an actual gay-related comment, instead of me just squeeing like a fanboy or making fun of myself as I've mostly done today. Count this against my gay topic tally. :P)

Actually, I've noticed a trend. :P When this particular topic came up (and don't say it comes up every time I speak, because I do talk about other things ), and it actually became a group discussion rather than my own monologue (as in the LGBT poll), I noticed a trend between the reasons straight people thought a character was a gay, and gay people thought a character is gay.

Often people without personal firsthand experience can end up relying on thirdhand observations at best (or cliches at worst).  And while observations are useful (especially if people know actual gay people and are familiar with them as complex individuals), there is usually an element missing from this judgment process - the gaydar has a different flavor, so to say.  See, I could really see why people would think Andrew is gay (and he may just well be), but it also at the same time seems...too easy a conclusion, if that makes sense.  He would be one of the most obvious options.  As for Miyu (who has almost NO character development), the opinion seems to reflect what is already a one-dimensional personality.  (In fact, Miyu wasn't even on my radar.  But I have poor les-'dar anyway.)

But when a gay person uses gaydar, the reasons and observations can be far more...experienced in their scope.  Very subtle things can be noticed, and can also speak to a lifetime of personal complex life experience.  It can be refined into a deeply intimate sixth sense of sorts, and hit you like a ton of bricks when the epiphany becomes apparent.  The conclusions can often take other people by surprise, because the results were unexpected, not fitting with their expectation of how to figure out if someone is probably gay.

This is why straight guys suspect certain characters, but gay guys (such as myself and my friends) and girls suspect different characters.  I've noticed that the greatest overlap between the two groups is for Leon and (to a lesser degree) for Wolf.  Does that make sense?

And, to be honest, when I came back to this fandom this year, I had expected this to be more of a common issue.  But instead I didn't expect such a disproportionate amount of straight males (I blame Krystal :P) who might have never given it any thought unless someone else mentioned it.  But this kind of character gossip is still one of my favorite fandom topics to discuss. ("On Family Guy, Brian did it with Quagmire's dad!"  It's just in my nature. X3)  I wish guys didn't think it were so annoying.  But I also noticed, amidst the annoyance, that there were also users who consistently gave me support and indulged my discussion interest.  And that felt nice...gave me more courage than I otherwise might have had.  I mean I don't want to annoy people here. XD But chances are, the kind of people who will be so easily annoyed, are also the kind of people who would never give it much thought anyway - people who would just be happier skipping over my comments. :3

Now you can't quote-respond, nyah! :P

Now, let's get back on the topic of Andrew. ^_^

Just to prove we can. Takes another step, but it's possible. :D

Carry on, all.

Andrew is probably one of those guys who goes "sex? you mean, with another person?? eeeeeeeeeeew!!!".

Count me as the first to defend.

I always saw Andrew if he had a sexuality it'd be stupidly retarded like he'd come up to you all excited like a stupid kid and think he's awesome as he whispers to you "I'm wearing nothing underneath my boxers." while you're kind of...
