Well I finally got Steam the only problem is that I won't be able to play TF2 because of it being rated M(I'm 13 and my mother is strict). Although I think I want to get Garry's Mod it looks fun but I'll need to convince my mother to get let me get it.

So, I bought an Escaped Turkey account....

It could be a couple of days before I get access to the server. I'm looking at TF2 for this server.

It is conceivable that we could special days where we put another game on the server for the day/weekend/week/whatever.

to be honest I'm not sure If i'd even play this if It did exist I have all these games cept left 4 and golden eye, too so... why isn't half life deathmatch on there?

TF2 is installed on the server as well as Sourcemod. Now adding SM plugins.

The server is generally playable. Still needs a few tweaks, but it is ready. I had a couple of random pubbers pop in, so the server has been play-tested.

Tonight I will finish off the configs, so it may not be up all night, but here is the server ip so you can add it to your favorites: 208.43.15.104:27015

I tried installing that thing into my CS:S.

Failed. SourcedMod & MetaMod do not certainly

like CD versions...  :oops: +  :x

Those are sever things. You do not need them to connect to a server.

It is okay, I just mentioned that I wanted

to try it and it just will not load...

Please note that my server has been converted into an Enemy Territory server. It is version 2.60b and is running etpub.

You can find it at 208.43.93.86:27960

You have to update your ET client to 2.60b in order to connect to the server, I will make a post on how to do that a bit later when I get the server the way i want it..

Just wanted to add my opinion on this. Responses in parenthesis.

Quake sounds? If yes, Custom Quake Sounds? (I'd rather not, honestly.)

Instant Respawn? (Hell. No. If there's one thing that KILLS the game balance in TF2, it's THIS. Vanilla respawn isn't that bad, it's only 15 seconds. Besides if you die, you deserve to be punished in some way.)

votescramble? (Sureynot?)

Alltalk? (Hell yes.)

3rd-party Maps? (Eh... there are some good custom maps, but it does suck to have to download them for 20 minutes before you rejoin the game.)

Map voting? (This one I'm not sure about. Map voting is GOOD, but I also think a consistent map rotation is good too.)

SFO Forum member benefits (Do whatever with this one. I personally hate it when I'm kicked from a server by reserved slot, but then again this server is made for people ON THIS FORUM, so they SHOULD have priority, I guess.)

Also, 32 man servers I also don't like. I mean the more the merrier and all, but there comes a point where it's a total spam fest. 24 is a good player number, hectic but not crazy.

Would it be too much to ask to allow custom content client side? I do like my steel gloves, aperture medic equipment, and custom sounds.

SV_Pure makes me a sad panda when it ruins my custom stuff.

Anyway, Alltalk, 24 player, Vote Scramble, no custom sounds (they're needless), 3rd party maps can be voted on (theres a ton of valve-approved maps like the CTF competitive collection and the Swamp Pack) before added to the server, map voting should be initiated with a command (usually its just "nominate"), and I suppose benefits. No SV_Pure, I like my mods, no instant respawn.

try to make a server with various otpions, like on tf2: a server for surf, one for archievments and a normal one.

for gmod: an rp server, a sanbox, and a build.

more options, more players.

count me in!

An RP Gmod server is a bad idea. most of the Rp server's on steam these days are usually empty. So if we do get a gmod server i suggest we just leave it with a normal sandbox server.

Btw, I'll work on putting some of the essential stuff for the server in a Compressed zip folder. such as Adv. duplicator, unbreakbable tool, Etc. If Dz decides to get one of course...

I do like having custom stuff, such as my female medic, nerf bat, Renamon HUD, and Blueberry Vixen/Raspberry Red Tails BONK! Lite energy drink.
