Old topic and I don't know if you guys above are on the same topic, but....I love Krystal but we just haven't seen enough of her to make her a great character, so...

I imagine in the next continuing SF game we'll start to like her more.

Also on Sauria,when she encountered General Scales,she was helpless. Like a damsel  in distress.

So yeah shes okay but I don't think shes fit for any type of combat. But If I could choose between Peppy or Krystal to be on  the star fox team. I'd choose Peppy.

Most Krystal fans just think she's hot. Granted, there are some who like her as a character (why they would like an underdeveloped cardboard cutout character is beyond me, but hey...) but they are pretty much a minority. Also, if your sisters are too young to be lesbians, I would doubt their ability to identify a good character. Younger people tend to not have as well-developed understandings of the concepts behind a good character than older people.

While that may be true I'm pretty sure that Robert has a more broader understanding of Star Fox fandoms than you do (no offense).  He's been a Star Fox fan for a very long time and I'm going to have to agree with him on this point about Krystal.  Heck I only help run a Krystal forum that's been around since 2002 and have been part of a couple of other Star Fox boards in the past as well.  Trust me, I can safely say that the MAJORITY of people who like Krystal like her because she's hot/sexy.  It MIGHT not be a primary reason as to why but it's a reason nonetheless.

To a certain extent, yes, a good character is a matter of opinion. Still, there are certain criteria a character must meet before even being considered to be good. Do they have a believable, well-developed backstory? Do they have good development, in their relationships with others as well as in their own personal beliefs? Do they actively contribute something to the story as a whole? Krystal really isn't a good character. She's just... there.

And as for you sisters, 14 might be pushing it a little, but 16 is definitely old enough to be a lesbian. In any case, my experience with teenage girls - even up to senior year and college - suggests that the vast majority of them have no idea what a good character is. If they did, Twilight wouldn't be so popular  :trollface:
