In 2007, Rolling Stone magazine held a poll where 20 songs were voted to be the most annoying songs.

Warning, the below links may make your ears bleed.  Alternately, you may also like some of them, even quite a lot (I know I do).  But often what made a song become considered so annoying, was that it was successful...and then everyone was playing it all the freaking time.

A couple up there which I actually find to be okay. Apart from them, I strongly dislike each and every one of them with a contempt almost unheard of. I've never liked popular music really, save for a few of the more popular metal bands.

There is an amazing amount of things that belong on that list.  And then I come across "Photograph" and think, "Why is that on there... that song is actually decent..."

And then I remember that the words make it a high target for high school graduation songs and other uses similar.  I then understand and at least can say that since I don't listen to the radio (being that I have 30,000 songs on my hard drive, I don't have to) and am not biased by hearing the same songs played hundreds of times over every month to get tired of them.

For the most part though, every one of those songs suffers from being overplayed and overused for too many things.  Not all of them were always annoying, they just became that way when you heard them everywhere you went for a long time.

Personally, I hate them all, but I listed the 5 I hate the most.

Instead of "Pop" Music, it's more like "Poop" Music.
