The orbital gate spread open a green tear in space.  From the gate emerged about fifty Barracuda-class cruisers, each slightly smaller than the Miracle herself.  There was a lull in the influx, then the gate opened even wider.  Jasho and Lilacs turned to look out the window at the incoming fleet.

And their jaws hit the floor as another shaped emerged slowly.

It was the biggest vessel Jasho had ever seen.  Easily dwarfing the Miracle and the Mobius, to call the Yamato a battlestar was a misnomer.  A more apt description would be a massive cannon with a craft attached.  An awesome sight to behold, and a nightmare against larger targets.

The fallen Scourge-king stood before them, a mere shadow of his former self.

It wheezed harder as it tried to speak.  ...What.

Congratulations, Raj, Mephaust mocked.  Some fool wants you free again.

Hmph.  To what end?  Raj started to turn.  Like I have a life worth living, anyways.

"Listen, I know we haven't exactly the greatest of pasts-"

Failproof.  It generates a pocket in space/time and covers it up with a flap of dark matter.  Even the most fine-tuned temporal sensors can't see anything bigger than a chunk of metal.

They would have no reason to be running a thorough temporal scan.  Not for perimeter defense; too much power wasted.  They'd have to know we were coming.  That takes care of my end.  And yours?

"Malve agreed to have a disabled Barracuda sitting in front of the Yamato when they arrive.  Only thing on board is a warp point."
