Retro Studios Secret Project

Star Fox Runner

Recommended Posts

As you all should know, Retro Studios is the development group that made the Metroid Prime trilogy. For the past year now, it has been widely known that they are working on a new project that is not a Metroid game.

What are your thoughts and speculations on this? For all we know, they could be the ones working on the next Star Fox game, or they could be working on an entirely new project!

pfft...I don't believe that Metroid is not the secret game.

My guesses:

A new...

Star Fox

F-Zero

Super Smash Bros.

Legend of Zelda Wii

It's a possibility that they might be working on the next Star Fox game. I just hope I'm right.

Who knows? Tommarrow is the first day of June, the month of E3. (I won't being going this year due to last years E3 unless Nintendo called me about my storyline and showing up in E3 and talking about the game a little bit.)

Maybe if its not Star Fox, it doesn't mean Nintendo gave up, they're probably looking for a good developer to help make the game. (Namco, Rare and Q-games)

I'd suggest Nintendo should team up with this company to develop the next SF game...

No.

Your logic:

Game Developers working on new unknown game OMIGAWD IT MUST BE STAR FOX.

I doubt it's a Super Smash Bros. since Hal Laboratories makes all of those games.

But who knows? I could be wrong

Prove it.

You do the same.

It's a god of the gaps argument. It's how UFO/ghost believers work.

"I don't know what this is, therefore aliens."

Stereotype detected.

I'm just hoping that is Star Fox, but then again, we've been duped for the past 3 E3s, so we might not get it again.

Star Fox or not, I honestly cannot wait to see what Retro is cooking up.

:lolhyst: I lol'd pretty hard when I read that :D

Meh, they could be making anything, and there is almost no chance for them to be working on the game we know and love.

Meh, I'm not very fond of speculation, myself.

I'll just live like nothing special is happening until definite proof hits me in the face like a brick, and then I will get up, stop the bleeding, and do a happy dance.

I wouldn't mind seeing them restart that Raven Blade project if they aren't working on that I would like to hope they are working on the next Star Fox, but who knows. We'll have to wait 'till E3.

I got a response from NOA again today...

Dear *******

Hello, Nintendo fan! It's always great to hear from one of our many fans located throughout North America.

I'm excited to hear how much you're enjoying our products!

In your letter, you said that we need to continue the Star Fox series. I agree! The Star Fox games were awesome. Unfortunately, at this time, I haven't heard of any plans for this game, but you never know what the future may hold. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

*same response about storyline I submitted without the DigiPen part*

Thanks again for writing *******. I hope you have a great day.

Consumer Service Representive

My thoughts: I wonder if this could be like a clue to Retro studios "secret game" or not...

Sounds like a "fill in the blank".

Dear X thank you for writing.

In your letter, you said X needs to X X. I agree!

And so on.

Yeah, it's called a form letter.

Don't bother e-mailing Nintendo about their upcoming games. I guarantee that they're not gonna give you any exclusive information or "clues".

:lolhyst:

Firstly, neither Iwata nor Miyamoto speak fluent English.

Secondly, Iwata and Miyamoto have jobs that require their full attention. CEO is a position that requires keeping your fingers on every aspect of how the business is running. Not much time to answer random emails. Miyamoto is a producer, his job is to manage game production. That's a lot of work, also.

If you e-mail Nintendo, it will be read by a CSR whose job it is to answer emails in a manner that follows the company's PR line. I guarantee these people know as much about Nintendo's release schedules and product announcements as an avid reader of the gaming press. You won't get a scoop from the CSR.

It would amuse me if the guy who replied never played star fox.

I got a feeling the only way you could get any info on what they're doing is if you break into the building and bug the place, and I doubt you would get away with that. lol!
