Got a good mix of maps and did great for what I did, and even caused rage by my habitual taunting. Also I killed someone with the GRU. That always warrants a taunt. And most of your dying as a medic was from you making poor choices as a medic. Yeah, there was a few times when I'd taunt and right as I did a Scout would materialize from thin air and blow you away, but you also died because you abandoned me to chase after other players without telling me, and sometimes I just couldn't kill everything fast enough (Soldier at one flank, Scout on the rear, what can you do?). Anyway, I will say that I wish Mr. N would better differentiate his jovial mocking from being a bad sport. I don't mind be laughed at, taunted at, being called a baby, ect. But don't tell me to play my class better, to watch out for my team better, or whatever. I've been playing this game since 2009, and I've been playing on the SFO server since day 1, and for the past 6 months when I -do- ass myself to show up, have had to do so on a fucking shitty computer where I average maybe 10 FPS on a good day, so I don't appreciate being jabbed at below the belt that way. It really kills my desire to keep playing with you, and all I want to do is have fun with my friends, not told explicitly why you think I suck. "User" Posted January 3, 2012 Share Posted January 3, 2012 I had fun playing sniper today and taunt killing after every headshot. During 6 of those occasions I was backstabbed by a spycicle, 5 times I was backstabbed normally, and 7 times I was headsot by another sniper. We had spontaneous games today that lasted 8 GODDAMN HOURS. it was fun as -hell-. I did really good on Badwater Basin and we even got to check out CP_NoMercy, which I thought was a decent map (if a bit hard to navigate), and I swear my aim with the shotgun at 10FPS is getting really good. I already have an average fuse but feel like I can cause a HUGE explosion (Prescriptions for medications on standby). I also REALLY hate Fureox and W+M2 when they're on the opposing team. Ive found myself in less control as of recent days, i need some time to remedy this, hence i will likely not play for a few days. Lets not make a big deal about me complaining team stacking, I made an issue out of it ONCE. One instance of issue does not warrant a problem as so many of you were describing it. Keep your rages off mic and people will be a lot less hostile to you when your try to bring up a point next time. As for the new Auto-Assigning, I like it. I think it's just getting to the point where the general skill level of our server is going up. That and the fact that the teams are auto-assigned--random--means that those who are used to being on the stacked team and winning, now actually have to try and might actually have to deal with a few losses. I haven't felt the need to switch teams mid game once and I don't think the teams were too outrageously stacked. Sure the scales are easy to tip, but that's because it's the point that even a good pair of people can tip a team and scrambling just doesn't fix that. DZ, don't ditch the auto-assigner. It's a new thing and people don't like change. Give time for people to adjust. Frankly people just need to deal with losses and bitch less. Instead of trying harder and actually outwit the other team, us at SFO are content in just bitching about it until DZ has to cave and make it totally random to ensure no one "stacks" only to have our SELECT FEW -still- whine about it. And I'm sick of hearing it. ALL of the fun is gone from the server because people rage and blame eachother for losing and jesus christ guys. I would suggest taking a break for a few game weeks, Scourge. You get really pissed off when things go south and you do so really quickly. I've seen you complain about not being healed by medics, about not having engineers, so on and so forth. The team stacks, the scrambles, is just the tip of it all. I hated it, it kept me from playing with my friends. Sure, you can say that prevents stacking, but I play support classes, so I need to play on a team with at least one person I know well and can trust. Our server should be fun for us all, and the Scrambling/Stacking shit is getting to be too much. DZ, I feel you worry too much about these complaints. Sure sometimes we do need a scramble, but like Milky says: for the most part, the teams just need to tighten up.
