I don't mind animated gifs when it minor stuff (talking heads on this site for example) but when it's some flashing thing leaping around the frame, I find them distracting, lucky if you press esc in firefox the all stop.

I don't think I've ever been bothered by them.  The only scenario where I would tear my hair out would be several GIFs tiled over and over on my monitor, all with bright, rapidly flashing lights.  THAT WOULD BE HELL! :D

I wanted my signature to look like the

beggining of the game it comes from.

The ship, and the 'engine burst' are from a

SEGA Genesis/Megadrive game called "Gaiares".

I wanted to replicate the beggining animation, as the

ship speeds out of the hangar, but this is the close I could

get.

I find them...not annoying but distracting. My eyes always end up looking at the .gif even though I looked at it over a hundred times already. Take Geo's or DRL's. I'm NOT saying they are bad. In fact, I find them cool and creative. I'm just saying my eyes end up staring at them anyway... :lol:

Or as Sabre previously pointed out just hit the Esc key if you are using Firefox to stop the animation

That was something Little Dragon made with his (And Charleyfox's) Krystal model actually, but TSA probably knew that allready.
