What do you think of HALO 3?

You can comment on its story mode, multiplayers, everything, as long as you respect others' opinions and no flamewars.

I felt there was something wrong with 2 that I couldn't put my finger on. Something missing.

I love the single player, co-op, the story. I'm not into multiplayer and comunity stuff, but the features like replays are fantastic.

Its not the best in the seires to me, I would think the best would be HALO 2

it's  a pretty good predecssor but the campaign uhh could use some more and the  maps for halo3 could use some more halo 2 style to them.

I don't lie game developers forcing me to play the game exactly how they want me to play it.

Case in point, the team at bungie thought the holy trinity of what they think is fun was Shooting, grenade throwing, and melee. So they starved your gun for ammo, always barely having enough for a reload or two, and nearly forced you to memorize weapon/melee combos and to learn what gun is good for what. I like being able to stick with one dependable gun if I so choose, but they meticulously planned the maps so that you'd run out of ammo for one gun right before finding another that they want you to fool with.

Gameplay was still rooted in the goldeneye era of tatics of just running down the gauntlet of linear maps and expending as much ammo as you can towards the enemy.

I played through Halo 3 once, experienced about thirty minutes of multiplayer, and haven't touched it since.

But you could say that about half life 2, or bio shock, or left 4 dead.

Welll...  Errr, I'm not much of a Halo fan as I use to be, but I didn't really find anything 'fun' or 'entertaining' as the others did.  Halo 2 had more of the original and fun variants, which '3 revamped and didn't do too much good, and story wise was pretty decent.  To me, IT WAS, again, TOO SHORT!!!  I was having fun blowing up the Scarabs and Covenant dropships, but other than that, it wasn't all too great.

My comparison would be that to Unreal Tournament:  Multiplayer is fantastic, Story is thrown in like rotten pizza; it was just all over the place with plot holes!

Hopefully, REACH will make up for those errors and be better than the other Halo's.
