A lot of games are filled with amazing music, so what are some of your favorite games for music/favorite song in a game.

I'd have to say, currently my favorite game for music is Contra: Hard Corps... Still haven't played the game though  :(

I thought you said blast corps. :(

I quite like Half Life 2 ep2s music, but then my opinion means bugger all when it comes to music.

A lot of the Super Smash Bros. Brawl music.

It might have the record for the most music in a single game, for all I know.

More than 1 Gigabyte of music?  Unthinkable!  Delighted.gif

I could post so many more links to so many awesome music, but this would take hours to listen through all of that. So here is just my all time favorite game music:

I'd say Melty Blood (the original and all of the additional rereleases), Dino Crisis 2, Paper Mario series, and Disney's Magical Tetris Challenge.

SNES Star Fox (1993) has some of the best music of any game ever! :D Star Fox 2 (1995) also has some good music.  I don't really like any Star Fox music in 64 or after.

I'm probably just living in good memories here, but it seems to me that the Super NES had some of the most memorable game soundtracks.

Heroes of Might and Magic V

Siege (Dungeon)

Haven

Neverwinter Nights

Aribeth Battle

Both of these got live orchestras to do their music. Which unfortunately means that the drop in quality of the music in their expansion-packs is very noticeable, especially for Neverwinter Nights, since it's to expensive to get the orchestra again. Desert Battle

I'll prolly have to say Mass Effect I and II had some really good video game music. Well orchestrated, and unique. It helps add a lot of depth to the plot and makes the game feel big.
