Sabre
My stance on this subject has been often stated here at SFO over the years. It will sufice to say that the topic has come up again.Personally, it's just a number, and I don't understand why it's the sole driving force for some. They aren't even a measure of quality or popularity, just a number of clicks. There are ways to up views with very little effort if you're into that, another reason why they are meaningless. They do give me decent feeling of being noticed when i go to my youtube channel and find out i got a few hundred views on one of my Starfox vid's, but it doesn't really seem like a "must have" thing. But it seems like some people go to ridiculous lengths just to get them, some people actually pay Youtube just to give their video's a better chance of coming up the suggestion list.EDIT: And that was my 700th post
Sabre
There are pageviews on SF-O? o.OYep, to the right of the title, along with the number of replies, but it also applies to youtube, DA, FA and so on.It does seem kind of ridiculous when you think about it. A throw away vid I posted of L4D got 30000 hits, but the video reviews I put effort into rarly get into triple digits. I do like the idea that a hall for of people care about my opinion on stuff though.

rebel_gunman
Dont mind the posts nor the views. Although one of the most popular threads here was created by me. It got so popular that it got locked because it got to be over a hundred! I think back in the day threads had a limit or something. It got to be so popular that Conall started "Say Something Random Part 2"I NEVER EXPECTED THAT!
Sol-Ratcht Saporro
^Oh wow, that was pretty old. I barely remember part 1.I have the same attitude as I do for Youtube. I don't care how many pageviews I have or friends or subscribers. I only care and remember the ones who talk to me. The ones who voice their opinion. Four-eyed Vulpine
I like to click on my threads hundreds of times in a day to increase my page views so that I can look like I'm very popular.Okay, not really. It's just a number.
Guest DRL
I like to click on my threads hundreds of times in a day to increase my page views so that I can look like I'm very popular.Okay, not really. It's just a number. That means I am winning, the pageview competition,as I create multiple accounts and have all my family clicking all day to get pageviews ...Seriously speaking, it is just a number. Not any reason to worry or care about, asfar as I am concerned... Redeemer
The pageview number doesn't mean anything to me really, but it does annoy me when you post a topic in a welcome board and you get about 20 views, but no one posts, haha. But you mainly find that on the dying boards.
Asper Sarnoff
Doesn't mean much to me. For example, I'd rather have one person come by my DA page and say they like my work, than 10 000 others passing by without saying a single thing.
