Oh damn, I can't count then. :) I have a migrane that's lasted 2 days, leave me alone. :P

Impale something, Soul Reaver style. Works for me.

Haha, no way! I'm a nurse, not a person that causes someone else to need a nurse! D: :P

Keep talking about it and change the passwords to the account, say you forgot.  Sorry to be so brash, but this is incredibly unfair from your point of view.  Gosh, the media overblows everything to massive proportions

Yeah, or you could pretend you don't go to this site anymore? Do you know how to delete your history?

I disagree.

You should QUIT emailing and just obey your parents. That's the right thing to do. They're the only parents you have and they're just doin what's best for you.

As long as his computer isn't barred up that tip will work, but it would also be a good idea to delete the cookie for this site as well. Sure you'd have to Re-type in your password every time but its necisary step i had to take when browsing in my School's "Anti-Breathing mask" which they see as a network

At his age he should have some freedom somewhere.  Parents are usually right, but they, as many others, fear the unknown.  If they don't go to websites or use a computer they're more likely to disapprove of it.

The reason parents are doing things like this can be summed up in four words:

To Catch a Predator.

This was a regular thing that the NBC show Dateline did where they entrap men into thinking they are going to have sex with someone. The chat logs are never shown, but NBC claims they make it clear that the person is "under age" (really someone posing as underage). They then shame the guy on camera and the guy is arrested after wards. It turns out that often the decoy was the one bringing-up sex.

They hype it up so much, and use editing tricks, to make it seem like the internet is running rampant with child molesters. The show has lead to at least one suicide.

Yes, there are people out there looking for victims on the internet, but not nearly as many as the show claims. Most child molestations are actually committed by people the victim knows, more often than not, a family member. The old bait-n-snatch at the playground still causes more cases of molestation that internet chatrooms.

It was basically a form of yellow journalism trying to make a problem bigger than it actually was. Sadly, the end result is making parents scared of the internet.

But as far as what you should do, you should listen to your parents. You're only going to get yourself in trouble if you continue to go behind them. If they suspect you, there are many products on the market that they can put on your computer that will let them know what you are doing.

Hmmm... What can I say? Try to prove that you're responsible enough so they won't need to keep a tight eye on you. On my end, my parents don't give a flip where I go (well, because I'm eighteen, but that's beside the point) just as long as I don't overuse the computer.

Also, play it slow and steady. Bring it up on days your parents are in a good mood and try to get them talk personally to the people in charge here.

Well, that's my advice.

Sooooo... Get on their good side. Do things they have been bothering you about for a while, and maybe they'll let their "no internet board rule" slide.

<3 you, DZ.

This is the entire case in a nutshell. Not much you can do except communicate with them or deal with it.

It would be appreciated if you could elaborate with your posts instead of just using ellipses like this.

oh well in that case the "..." to me means "uhhh....ok"

A little, but a sentence or two would be nice. :)

I usually put ellipsis when I am offended or something like that and wish to not say anything else.
