Guest Julius Quasar
By "red and black nightmare" I meant this abominationUgh, don't get me started on that piece of crap........Anyway, my main thing is multiplayer and online. These are my personal requirments:dedicated servers, custom Arwings and possibly characters, free voice that chat, no friend code crap, and finally diferent modes of multiplayer like deathmatch, team deathmatch and capture the flag. If we have this, we have epicness.I agree.
LoneWolf
WHOOOA! The thread's got a lot more interesting since I last read it. At least we're not talking about...yeah...anymore!Time to go Google Virtual Boy...
Star Fox Runner
I'm certain that Nintendo has learned from it's mistakes with the Virtual Boy. Back then the technology was too young, and just wasn't ready. But I'm also happy they give you the option to turn the 3D effect off, I think it's cool and all, but whenever I saw a movie in 3D at the theaters, the glasses gave me a headache, and when I took the glasses off, things on screen were distorted, and it still gave me a headache. The best part of this one is, Nintendo is not shoving the 3D down your throat, you can do it without it! Also, what's with the big burst of 3D? Everything has to be in 3D now. Avatar, Panasonic 3D TV, PS3 software update later this year!

That's weird. But I think they're being smart by not trying to do that until 3D tv's adoption rate breaks 30 percent (the 3D TV idea might flop, you never know, ever heard of Betamax, laserdisc and HD DVDs?) Try and do it too soon and it doesn't work out, you might not turn a profit. This is another big gamble Sony is doing with their games.

Way to go!Although, when they change a big thing like the TVs themselves, I have a bad feeling it's not going to flop

Blue rays can store quite a bit more data on one CD, leading to either higher graphics, or much longer games/movies, or a combination of the two. Star Fox Runner
Long story short, just because the technology is a breakthrough and amazing, doesn't mean it's a shoe in for success. Look what happened to the Sega Dreamcast, first to do online gaming, actually had a few motion controlled games. But the technology was too young, and it didn't work as good as it was supposed to, and it flopped.

HOOOOOOOO!I think he just meant it "had" a few.But the Power Glove is a good example. That think sucked ass as far as motion was concerned. Like Runner said the tech was just too young.I hope the 3DS does good though. The games look good enough. :

Then I revealed to them.... the power glove.

LoneWolf
Now I am not very technical, but I do not think blue rays are quite the same as HD DVDs. Blue rays can store quite a bit more data on one CD, leading to either higher graphics, or much longer games/movies, or a combination of the two.Blu Rays are not just DVDs converted to hold more storage. They are an entirely new format with a special coat of Durabis, and are read with a blue laser, instead of the standard 650 Nanometer red laser for DVDs. They do have more storage though, up to 25gb on a single layer disc and 50 on a dual-layer. I love Blu-Ray Yeah, but it was an attempt at motion control, and I have come across people that thought Sony/Microsoft actually started developing motion control first, then Nintendo "copied" it and released it sooner. Then I revealed to them.... the power glove.Even as a PS3 fan I definitely agree that Nintendo still has the best in the way of motion control. The Playstation Move just blatantly copied Nintendo, and Natal, or since it's been renamed, Kinect is just a copy of EyeToy and Playstation Eye. Guest Julius Quasar
I'm gonna hold back on buying a 3DS and SF64 copy for it, until I see the reviews for it by people who own it, here and elsewhere, and decide whether I'll buy one or not, contingent on a majority of good or bad reviews (also, I wanna wait for the price to drop).I'm buying a Wii and a Virtual Console StarFox 64 for it, and a classical controller as well. That's a definite thing.
