Okay guys, enough with the pictures  ;)

I most likely will not be persuaded to purchase a 3DS until SF643D comes out (unless another Phoenix Wright game hits shelves :P ).  I won't wait for reviews on this one, a great game made into portable form is makes another great game!

Well for me it depends how much this DS cost in the United States.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if they're bringing the Lylat Wars name back, or are they going for SF643D for all regions?

no need to bring "Lylat Wars" back here in europe.

"Starfox" has been used ever since Adventures.

I kinda liked the name lylat wars in a way, tho

I believe the Lylat Wars name was used because of a copyright of "Star Fox", in Europe by a 2600 game; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Fox_%281983_video_game%29#Legal_issues.2Ftrademark

It would still be interesting for Nintendo to recreate the Lylat Wars name, just for old times sake though :P

The copyright of a crappy game in the Atari 2600 I think.. >.> [Fun fact: Starfox was orginally going to be a sheep or sparrow [star sheep or Star sparrow] Sparrow....Falco... Connection?

I heard about that, and I think that if they went with Star Sheep........... the game wouldn't have sold as well. :P

I'm from Europe.. and there are here so many people who don't know about the name change, that when they buy StarFox 64 3D they have no idea they are buying Lylat Wars again. For the record they can better launch Lylat Wars 3D here.

Despite being bankrupt, went and reserved a 3DS, but it's a shame that Star Fox 64 3DS and all the other hyped games for the 3DS aren't going to be release titles. Ah well.

NOA Press Event in NYC Wednesday. We will likely get the launch date, and hopefully the launch lineup.

Watch the date be in April

That's actually the price I was expecting, so I'm good on that. Need to find out of the release games list right now is the full list, because if so, I may cancel the pre-order and just get one when SF643DS comes out.

While I must say that the American dollar doesn't go as far as it used to, why make it so much more expensive in Europe? That doesn't make much sense!

I feel for you... that sucks  :(

seeing as I don't have much money right now, however, I'm prolly not gonna be getting a 3ds whenever it comes out anyways.

I don't get the price freakout. There is more tech packed into a 3DS than there is a smartphone, and most smartphones retail for at $300+ for a low-end one, high end ones are over $600. (these are prices before provider contract subsidies). Even the high-end phones can't match the 3DS GPU. Nor do they yet have 3D.

I'm damn-impressed that they squeezed all of that tech into a sub-$300 device.

The 3DS is the first major use of that GPU and the first mass-produced handheld device with a parallax barrier screen. The economies of scale aren't there for a sub-$200 product yet.

If you expected to get it for less than $200 after it was unveiled, you were being unrealistic. I knew from the moment they unveiled it that it would be at least $250.
