Starfox 64 3DS!

I 'love' the new music! It stays true to the original, but really fleshes it out at the same time! The flutes on Meteo, the low-brass in Star Wolf and -- the best addition, in my opinion -- the choir they added to Area 6 (which is epic)!

The game hasn't even come out, and its already my favorite soundtrack...

I think this game looks WAY fresher than the N64 game it's based on. Although I don't know why the eel enemy in the Aquas stage doesn't seem as gory when you kill it this time. Nice that that stage looks brighter though.

I don't think the 3DS has a built-in synth. Game storage media is large enough now that having the game render the music is not necessary as audio files can be stored with the rest of the game. They could do Orchestrated music if they wanted, but I don't think it is worth it given the fact that the speakers on the 3DS are utter crap.

OoT has a LOT of music, and they probably felt that it was not worth the effort to recreate it. Making audio captures of N64 music is trivial. The Emulation community has been doing it probably since the 1990s.

SF64 only had about 50 tracks. Redoing them is not as time-consuming.

I'm hoping for more SP content. The new MP stuff is cool, but I wouldn't mind some additional bonus levels or a recreation of some SFSNES levels.

I'd like to see a recreation of the Titania boss fight from the first Star Fox, and maybe new bosses in general, like a modified versions of Destructor or Phantron.

Yeah. If they made a remix like this, (which I doubt they would, but it's just supposed to be an example.) Then it would make the game even better. :D

I've wanted to download this song, but the link the guy gives in his description goes to a Japanese site or something, and I have no idea where it is...

I'd like a remix of the Sector X music, and maybe remixes of the Super NES Space Armada, Macbeth, Titania and Meteor themes.

Is it true that the game is actually a joint-development effort between Nintendo EAD and Q-Games, rather than a pure Nintendo EAD piece of work like the original game was? That shouldn't be too surprising though, as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D was also a co-development effort between Nintendo EAD and Grezzo, and I think Dylan Cuthbert still has loads of love for Star Fox, despite the fact Star Fox Command did not do so well.

I sure hope Q-Games might be cooking up something for the Wii U.

Anybody here think it is so weird that Nintendo of America owns the domain starfox.com, and yet we're already in July and they haven't launched their own official website by now!? I mean, seriously, Nintendo of Europe's own official website may be a sub-domain, but they actually placed some effort into making in multiple languages! Then again, the European website is kinda literally based off the official Japanese website though. I wonder...

Other than small stuff like Child of Eden I hope.

I haven't heard anything about Q-Games being involved with SF643D. Dylan Cuthbert seems to have lost interest in the series.

That said, many of the people at Q-Games did work on the original SF64.

Apparently, according to this old, short article, Q-Games did co-develop Star Fox 64 3D! They even included a rough screenshot of the title screen as evidence of the fact! I wonder how come neither Nintendo nor Q-Games officially stated anything about them working together to get this remake out soon this year?

Q-Games? It better not end up like Command; Butchered story with multiple endings, most of which were horrible.

Interesting. Well, seeing as many of the people at Q-Games worked on the original, it makes some sense.

Strange that Cuthbert was so dismissive of Star Fox at a time when SF643D had to have been in development but unannounced.

Maybe he was trolling

Still, the official Japanese site has been updated and has an interview with Miyamoto, Dylan Cuthbert, and 2 other guys I can't name as I can't read Japanese. I tried translating but it was far to scrambled to make any sense.

I'll post a link and try translating again when I'm not posting from my phone :)

Lovin' how the Lylat System looks.

poopv.jpg

The only thing that looks off is that Fortuna/Fichina only branches off to Sector X. In the original -- if you beat Star Wolf before the bomb kaboomed -- you could choose between Sector X or Solar. Wonder what's up with that...

And getting the stupid, insignificant nit-picking out of the way; Sector Y looks like a "Y chromosome", Bolse has "solar panels" and a pink Sector Z?

Stupid, insignificant stuff. Not gonna bug me in the slightest... ish.

It's called someone made a mistake when making this map. I highly doubt they changed the outcomes of missions.

Oh, btw, I looked at the trailer again, and Falco does have a tail. I don't know what you guys were talking about. It's just shorter than the original was.

Tail, tail feathers. If they are sitting in the cock pit its going to be hard to see there tails any ways.

Atleast Slippy won't sound like a girl like the original Star Fox 64. It always bothered me that he sounded that way. XD

It's still definitely a woman voicing him this time, but he sounds more like a woman voicing a boy than a woman voicing a girl. I've not heard much, but it kinda reminds me of Tails from the sonic games :D

We knew he had a tail. Its just that we couldn't see it in the offical render, but you're right about it being shorter.
