Around this time, many people like to travel. Well, in America. Soooo, when going away for a vacation how do you like to travel?

I personally prefer train. It's economical and you can really take in the sights.

I love planes and air travel, but they are very boring when on long flghts because you can't really see through the clouds.

Trains are the real way to go.... especially luxury ones ala Orient Express.

Two words: Screw buses. I'd take plane travel for long trips. I traveled from Mexico to the States in bus once, and I must say, it was an evil experience. Mexican buses are great, wireless internet, bed like seats, CLEAN bathrooms and headphone plugs for the onroad movies. In the other hand, American buses seem to be third world class, which IS ironic (I'm talking to you, Greyhound), and silly enough, they are still more expensive.  I didn't feel the ride when I was riding  my bus through mexico, but when I had to switch to a Greyhound bus, oh god, it was awful.

Alas, Airplanes are way more secure than any ground transportation, which is why I prefer them. If I had train options, I would give it a try.

I usually travel in automobile or on airplanes, but I've always wanted to try a train, as they look great, and I've always heard great things about traveling in them (ESPECIALLY comfort level).

The train.  I hate flying, I don't like to drive, and like Steve said, American Buses are awful.

"I CAN'T STOP IIIIT!"

That is fairly true here as well.

However, it is easy to 'smuggle' stuff,

like your pets, from one city to another by

taking a train.

My mother's family does it when traveling.

She does it herself, too....

Oh God, the car. I'm usually driving for 4+ hours with my mother. HATE IT.

The Bus. Yup I'm on the third world category bus (lolpun). I haven't had the displeasure of riding Greyhound but I did ride with another bus company. Yeah it was hell. It got so bad that the bus driver was like, "STFU or I'll drive this bus off the bridge!"

To which someone else replied, "Do it. I don't care, at least we won't have to ride this bus anymore." Which led me to facepalm and laugh.

Airplane, yeah it's okay for a less than 4 hour flight. But its gotten so expensive so pass.

Cruise ship? Ahahaha....NO!

Hi,

if I travel far away, I take the airplane. I love flying, it is always a great feeling!

Traviling inside of Germany I prefer my car, but sometimes I take the train (the InterCityExpress trains here in Germany are awesome - rushing down with 300km/h^^).

Since I won't find myself behind the stick of an airplane anytime soon, I guess I'll have to make due with roaring down the roads in my Corvette. And seriously? I'm just fine with that. Cool-2.gif

Even if you can see through the clouds that really doesn't change anything unless you're not used to seeing completely different landscapes or haven't flown on many flights in your lifetime.  I'll agree with the flights being boring, I've been on a couple of dozen or so in the last couple of years and a lot of times I just want to sleep but it's difficult for me to sleep on planes. :/

Never traveled on one like that but I've been itchin' to try :)

Well, I do actually enjoy landscapes. Seeing mountains and canyons from so high up is amazing.
