Some N64 games you'd like to see on 3DS.

Hey it said games you WANT to see, not ones that can necessarily happen.

Touche

40 winks and Area Guage  :collapse:

Maybe Blast Korps so it can irritate me with oyster harbour all over again.

"Time to get moving."

Doom 64

Quake 2 (and maybe 1) Can you imagine 3D rocket flying action?

Hybreed Heaven with extra save points. If you have to ask, it's a MMA themed RPG with a combat system so fantastic that is needs to be done again.

The story... was crap, as was the advanturing parts. It's much more serious then most N64 games. Wouldn't make use of 3D. Putting your face on the hero would be nice. (oh, and a tech demo of the 3DS had facial recognition, and is apparently really good with it.)

Either

Top Gear Rally

Pod Races

Extreme G

Bettle Crazy Cup

Not Perfect Dark, I already have it twice.

Star Fox 64, obviously, but also:

Vigilante 8

My one memory of that game, useing missiles as boosts, and the bees! Not the bees! AAAAH!

I'd much rather see an ALL NEW ORIGINAL Smash Bros game on the 3DS.

Oh, me too!  :).

But seeing as Nintendo is going now

for remakes, a SSB 64 remake would not

be a bad start, right?

Well, it only had like what 10 characters? which really kinda sucks....I also would rather see a NEW SSB instead of a remake of the original SSB64. :)

Most definitely Rogue Squadron, and Battle for Naboo! But seeing how Factor 5 went under, the odds of that happening are very slim.

Majora's Mask would be awesome, seeing how OOT is getting the remake treatment.

Goldeneye is already being put on the Wii as a remake, so I don't think that'll happen.

Same here but with Rare gone, I doubt that will happen since it would probably brake Microsoft's deal with Rare for Nintendo. But maybe Microsoft will be nice enough to include remakes or something but...we'll see

I'd love to see Banjo Kazooie on 3DS! But there's that problem with Rare.

BUT! Rare has continued making games for Nintendo's handhelds after the Microsoft buyout, Banjo Kazooie Grunty's Revenge was for the Gameboy Advance, and Rare did Diddy Kong Racing DS.

So if they're still doing handheld games for Nintendo, Banjo Kazooie for the DS isn't completely impossible!

From what I have heard, the Wii Goldeneye is not the N64 Goldeneye, due to the inability of Rare, Nintendo, and Microsoft to come to an agreement on releasing it, so Nintendo made a new Goldeneye in a similar fashion to the old one, a "rip-off" if you will.

Though I'm hyped for it, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that's true.

I'd heard somewhere that the reason Goldeneye N64 hasn't appeared on XBLA or Virtual Console is because Nintendo was given the opportunity to put it on VC but held up the deal, so no one got it. Maybe they were waiting to release this? (don't quote me on this in case I'm wrong.)

I did a thing about that a while ago, and from what I remember, it was Xbox trying to do a remake of it for Arcade, going so far as to make a revamped graphically enhanced version, without Nintendo's consent, and that the deal was that Nintendo could put the original on the VC, and Xbox could use the remake. Not a fair deal for Nintendo, so they turned it down. Then it became a pointless haggling of price, and was dropped.

I'd heard that too, but that doesn't make sense to me. They did the EXACT same thing with Rare's other games, graphical upgrade and original versions Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, and Perfect Dark. Nintendo didn't gripe about those, but they held up Goldeneye's release.

Well it would depend on Microsoft since they made the deal with Nintendo. So far no new DS games haven't been Nintendo/Rare published, this could led to something if one of them doesn't come up with good ideas other than a remake.

I think the only games made by Rare and Nintendo are the ones that are Donkey Kong games, we got Donkey Kong country 1,2 and 3 on GBA and VC right? Well, we all are probably expecting Diddy Kong Racing 64 or Donkey Kong 64 to be on VC, they'll show up later.

I think maybe if Nintendo ran out of ideas for their next game with Rare, why not choose Dinosaur Planet? Sure it has been cancelled and turned to Star Fox Adventures but maybe it could serve as the prequal to Adventures, like I mentioned eariler, it's all up to Microsoft since they own Rare and all its properties.

If Nintendo bought Rare before 9/2002, we would probably see more Donkey Kong games and more of Rare's franchises.

I never thought of that! Dinosaur Planet! Maybe we'll finally get the chance to see the game how it was meant to be!

Smash Bros, Resident Evil 2 and Majora's Mask.

If a 3DS Smash Bros came out it should maybe add a few new characters to it, but still keep them in the n64 clothes style with the 3D graphics.

Super Mario 64 was already ported to the DS pretty much, so I doubt we'll see that again.

When Rare and Nintendo had the falling out I believe Rare got a share of some characters and Nintendo got a share. For example Rare took Conker, Banjo and Kazooie, and Joanna Dark, while Nintendo took Donkey Kong and Krystal. I was kinda pissed off at the fact Daniel Craig was gonna be in Goldeneye Wii but thinking of the Rare issue, they may not have had a choice.

Dinosaur Planet is an interesting thought though. It's a matter of if Nintendo would be interested enough to finish it and make it for the 3DS. Which I doubt.  But it's an interesting thought.

Starfox and Starfox 2 were for the SNES Julius. XD

The only way the Microsoft deal will end is if Microsoft sells Rare to Nintendo for...you know when Microsoft runs low on money, which of course won't happen cause I'm sure Bill Gates and Paul Allan are having fun together destroying Rare and making it look like crap plus getting paid over 1 million dollars for nothing. If Nintendo made trillions in DOLLARS NOT YENS, there could be a possibilty that they could purchase Rare back which won't happen cause i'm sure Iwata is happy with Retro Studios under his control.

We could think of some other companies that Nintendo COULD purchase

Sony - Would've happened if Nintendo accepted their SNES add-on back in 1993, but then Nintendo doesn't want no add-on

Sega - Used to be rivals back in the 90's- early 00's but they both have made some games together like F-Zero GX and Mario & Sonic olympic games

Sucker Punch - Probably under Sony's control but it would be nice if we saw some Mario, Zelda or Star Fox game in which it would only be anime-style

Namco - Count how many games Namco and Nintendo have made together, more than 10 titles have been made by Namco & Nintendo.

Capcom - Very unlikely to happen since Nintendo and Capcom only worked with Disney together on Magical Mirror and Hide & Sneak

I'm sure you could come up with other companies that you think Nintendo could purchase with Rare gone and only Retro Studios under their control...

Having a love for Capcom and for the Sucker Punch games, I would love to see Nintendo own them. But....I don't see why we're talking about Nintendo owning Rare. =/

Like I said before certain characters that were collaborated on with Nintendo and Rare are owned by Nintendo such as Donkey Kong and Krystal. That means making a DP game wouldn't be much of a problem for them.....it's just a question on rather they're interested or not. Banjo-Kazooie is out of the question though.

I think for the 3DS, a totally new Smash Bros would be the better decision. And seeing how there was no F-Zero made for the DS, a remake of X or a new one would be welcome!
