How did you get interested in StarFox?

My older brother used to play Lylat Wars when I was a kid, which sparked my interest. Then Adventures totally blew my mind, that's my favourite Starfox.

Adventures or Star Fox 64?

My friend "borrowed" a copy of Star Fox 64 from another friend and then gave it to me. xD

That was back when I couldn't afford any games and my parents refused to buy them for me, so I played the hell out of it.

My family originally had an SNES in their home, ironically enough they had guess what? The original Starfox. I remember those years, good lord I was about only a few years old trying to play that game and it was absolute hell. I don't think I ever got past asteroid at the time.

Later, I got for Christmas a Nintendo 64 in 1998 for Starfox 64, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, and Super Mario 64. It came out of the blue since my family were very much penny pinchers but probably noticed me in the stores often playing the games or when I went to my friends house I did similarly as well in multiplayer or something. They guessed right.

I heard about it quite a bit before it came out, due to all the hype over the Super FX chip. My bro and I bought into the hype and bought the game when it first came out, and needless to say I found it very much lived up to the hype :).

Mine is the most common among Star Fox fans:  Playing Star Fox Adventures.

Astonished?

Didn't think so...

Erm... I don't fully understand the question here based on what I typed before haha. I loved Adventures, but I first played Lylat Wars for the 64.

I'm not too sure what I wrote either lol. But I wonder why Nintendo had the different names of "Star Fox 64" and "Lylat Wars" it makes no sense.

If I remember right, there was a European company with the name Star Fox or such, or something already copyrighted with that name.

Star Fox 64 was the first video game I actually played. I was around seven at the time. Ever since then I have been a fan of the series.

Not even a year ago, a friend of mine introduced me to Starfox Assault multi-player. Assault became the first video game, aside from Super Mario World, that I ever beat. I've been hooked ever since.

Star Fox comic started publication in February 1993.  I loved the characters, the setting, the story thus far.  It helped cement my interest in Star Fox as a character-based story.  I then played Star Fox SNES as soon as it was released (April 1993, IIRC), and I loved it too.

Though I never loved Star Fox 64 or the games that followed, I did grow to like their ensemble characters (except Krystal).

Just to be :offtopic: for a second, now that I've played the original on actual hardware, I'm beginning to like it a little more than 64. :D

My first experience with StarFox was 64 back when it first came out but I really started to love Adventures (not JUST because of Krystal). I really loved the story and the gameplay of it (this coming from someone who never played a Zelda game up to that point) and all. Then this year I bought Assault and I love that too, especially the Corneria level. So yea....

I played SNES SF with my cousin waaay back when, I didn't get interested though, I was so young, but when I played SF64, that all changed. I loved the gameplay, story line, and the characters. It brings a lot of good memories back with me and my cousin. I also looked at Fox as a dad.

I think playing super smash bros. came first, but I'm not too sure

whenever I went to my friend's house, we'd play Starfox 64. me, my sis, and other people. there were always too many for the controllers, and I always wanted to be fox 'cause he looked so cool. 8D

then close to that time, I got it from santa! XD my sis would always be falco 'cause he had blue lasers!

then I would pretend all the time that I went on adventures with the starfox team. XD And I still do, even though I'm technically not a kid anymore...

NOTHING IS GONNA STOP ME FROM LOVING STARFOX GAMES! MUAHAHA!

(P.S. when I was little I was dumb enought to think that starfox64 was the first game... but later my friend showed me the first one ^^')

Considering how you look at Fox now, that is so oedipal.
