How did you get interested in StarFox?

When I first saw Command I was suddenly hooked to it, then I bought it. I found out that the story is way worse than the gameplay.

After a few months I borrowed, played, and finally bought my own Assault game.

The gameplay was sad and terrible.....

It would have been much better using SNES styled controls.

I liked the controls, personally. Being able to strafe using the d-pad would have been nice, and being able to tilt left-right would also be nice, but they worked out well IMO.

I hated the stylus controls, they could have made it so much easier, but they had to gimmick it with the touchscreen.  You should've at least had an option to use the buttons.  (Barrel Rolling never worked when I desperately needed it to )

I totally agree with ya on that. But even with the new controls....there were too many endings, so points off for that.

I wonder how SF64 for the 3DS will be, it's going to be interesting to play with that control stick.

Yes, the story was major

EPIC FAIL

But the combat was good enough to get me into the series.

Anyways...we're kinda :offtopic:

It'll probably be like a controller :)

Actually, the head of Q-Games (the studio that brought us Command ) said that he didn't wanna make one for the Wii (THANK GOSH!).  Nintendo hasn't said anything approving or disproving a StarFox for the Wii.

you can always buy the games from the game cube and play them on wii

I could do that... Problem is, I need to buy a Gamecube controller, a Gamecube memory card, and the games. I have less than $20 to my name lol

(Flashback to 1999)

When I was in 2nd grade my friend invited me to his house to play some used games he got. The first one we played was of course Star Fox 64.

I thought it was amazing. It was the first video game I ever played so the game is kind of dear to me. The sad part was we only got to Star Wolf on Fortuna than had to quit. And ever since then I've been a fan of the series.

I can't exactly remember the date but, I know it wasn't too long after Star Fox (snes) came out. My parents had just bought me a SNES and a tun of new games to go with it. (lucky me :P ) Anyway I remember browsing through all the games, when I came across it (SF: snes). I was instantly fascinated with the characters....as I hadn't seen anything like them before. They were....animals? I thought wow! This is going to be a nice change-of-pace from playing all those Mario Bros games. As I started to play, I realized it was by-far the best game in the bag. (since that's what we were keeping them in  ) It had awesome music, more challenging enemies and cool ships (the Arwings). I still got the game too, it might not have it's case, and it's kinda beat-up....but it has sentimental value to me--and that makes it move valuable to then any monetary amount. I may even buy a display case for it. :)

So I guess I've been a fan since the first game. I can honestly say I haven't got burned-out in this series at all. SF: snes right up through SF Command and onward to SF64: 3D, they are all unique and special to me. I will always be a hard-core fan of the series.
