Dermot
Personally, I have no guile. I am a terrible liar, and tend to speak the blatantly honest truth, even if a someone would have preferred I lied. You should pretty much never, ever ask me to lie for you, because I'm not going to be able to do it.Sarcasm is a special matter. I love good sarcasm, but part of what makes sarcasm effective is that you can tell it's sarcasm. As long as someone knows I'm being sarcastic, there is no false impression.Basically, this poll is not about whether you are capable of saying something on its face that is not true. If I were to tell you I like to drink sulfuric acid, you would know how ridiculous that is. You see, lying is about walking away having left an intentionally false credible impression with the person you've lied to. To lie is to deceive, and I'm very poor at deception.By the way, I shot JFK, 17 years before I was born.
Steve
Saying the bluntly truth can be worse than saying a white lie. There are ways to say things, specially if they are important. Lying can be good, if it's used to protect someone.

Steve
Nah, I didn't see the need of voting, my judgement for this is too complex to decide on one of the options.
Guest DRL
I can lie if I want to, but I (usually)do not want to. So far the year I liedthe most was the last, because our uber-egoteachers liquified us, so to avoid parentalcomplains I lied a lot.I do not do that anymore, thought. Robert Monroe
I always tell the truth. Even when I lie.Ok, now that we got the Scarface quote out of the way.... yeah, I do tell the truth. I'm a hard, honest type. That said, I am exceptionally good at lying to people, I just... never really have to use it. Something I developed while growing up to get out of trouble over school work and hasn't left me.
Guest Julius Quasar
I'm a compulsive pathological liar, though ironically I'm no good at it.
Asper Sarnoff
I very, very rarely lie. Blunt, direct and honest, even to and beyond the point it hurts. In the few ocasions where I feel I have to resort to a white lie, and those are few indeed, I do tend to be quite convincing. Having been into amateur acting probably helps a lot there. As that isn't encompassed really by the options, I'll refrain from voting.
Scott7
Rarely, but I sometimes make a white lie to help someone feel better...Its best not to make up something about your life, if you do it becomes time bomb just waiting to explode. Some people actually get a habbit of it and build it up even more, making the detonation even more devastating to your reputation between friends and/or family. I learned this from personal experience when i was little...

Mr. Krystal
Love is greater than truth. If it comes to a conflict between love and truth, I choose love. However, truth is the ally of love. So I never say anything false, but I do leave false impressions if it is beneficial for them. I often let people believe things that I could correct, but choose not to. Guest Scorpion03
I dont lie as such, however i can make anything sound advantageous to me... and am very good at it. I require this for my job. I also find it useful to get information i need from people without them threatening to kill me (too often). Also like Mr Krystal if its not necesary for them to know i would rather leave someone with a slightly innacurate perception they are happy with than an accurate understanding they will not like. Geo Stelar
I am fully capable of lying and inventing convincing stories, but only when needed, and in certain situations (i.e. I need to get out of a riot between people, or to protect a friend, or to have an excuse for doing something that they don't understand) Generally I speak the truth.
