I'm well aware of what it means. My point is that most people who claim to be A don't mean it. They are either to young or making excuses, at least in my experience.

Aspers a freak. Plus if girl geeks exisit, why are all their photos blurry, and why haven't we found a body yet? (for those who missed it, thats a joke against most mythical creature believers. Personally I like those believers because they are at least looking for stuff, but that's off topic)

I thought geek girls tend to avoid the internet, believing that anyone who finds out will harrass them with sexist comments. I would ironicly do that as a joke, but you might get alot of that, and if not then it will fall flat.

Hey! FTR, i resent the pot shot at Asper. Now, i would say something in defence of the female geek, but i realized that my only internet photo, the one on dA, does look kinda like a mythical creature shot :Phttp://fira-astrali.deviantart.com/

I unno, ive noticed that on my time on the net, i havent had to worry about bc no one bothers to check ur profile and see if ur a guy or a girl :P

I'm usless at chatting people up. Both RL and in text. I'll try it now see if I can chat you up. Ahem.

"Hi there. I'm Sabre. And who might you be other then the woman of my dreams? ... Fira Astrali obviously. It's writen right there. OK. Erm, Do you come here often? Of course you do. You have over 200 posts ... Please stop tazering me."

...I think that went well. :P

LOL! That's hilarious! See, you're funny, thats a good thing! I mean, you could just strike up a conversation, and see how it goes. Asper started by welcoming me to the site, and showing me some cool posts, and then we just started talking about everything.

That's love and romance. Less Disney, more box of socially awkward hamsters.

Preeeeeety much :/ But occasionally you get to shake the box of hamsters. Fun times ensue :D

I've met two hardcore D&D type internet geeks at a Laser Quest event down in Kitchener a few months ago.  They were SOOO the stereotypical female video game geek.  I mean...when a good % of your vocabulary in RL conversation involves Internet lingo like Lol, brb, etc and they talk non-stop about anime, conventions, computer games it was like dream come true.  I thought I'd never see one of these types of girls in person since I thought they only existed on the Internet.

And they were hot, but that's besides the point.

Maybe a lot of this is going over his head?

Funny, I've been classes as a geek at times. I pen and paper RP, love games, and I occasionally say "brb" or "lol" but not in a serious way. I say it as though I'm mocking, like, I'll roll my eyes when I say it. Do you know what I mean?

Guest Mr. Mario

Usually everytime I go to my friends birthday party, I hear a lot of girls saying that I strongly resemble and sound like Leon Kennedy...the thing was, it was near my friend!!

A little bit, I head over to the arcade to play some games and the girls I saw, asked me to do some voice impressions of Leon....after I did his impressions, I asked one of them if Resident Evil was their favorite game or something, they don't know what Resident Evil is, they only know Biohazard...I know that is Resident Evil in Japanese...

I feel really embarassed right now......

Ok, do what you like. But your missing out. People like us, we live a life of loveless virginity making angry faces at the idiots who have women fall into their arms so he can beat them repeatedly and sadface when these nice ladys who you care for do this because it makes them happy. Yet somehow you don't even reach the level of wife beater.

This is a rare occation we get to distract ourselves with real hope for a while. The fact is our hobby, our passion, has a huge negative stigma attached. On the rare occation one of us manages to break through, we both cheer and envy because we wanted to be that guy. Not the platform game though.

...Hmm, that's a bit of a downer. Anyone got that motivator with the cosplayer and the caption "Maybe she really does want to hear about your lvl12 paladin" to lighten the mood? I would get it myself but Im off to cry into my pillow until I fall asleep.

Can I just say I am amazed that we haven't gotten this topic locked yet?  :) Thought for sure once this topic was posted that someone would post something to get it locked pretty darn quick.

Al! I used to love Home Improvment back in the day.

Seriously they do. I stopped hanging round the mainstream autistic comunity for to reasons, whining about GFs was one of them.

...I'm crap at anicdotes and empathy.

Since autism is a spectrum disease, you can't really assume I love because other ausies do.

I'll have you know I met one of my boyfriends in a game of D&D. >_> We put pen to paper and I rolled his D20 all night. :P

Just kidding, haha. But we did start dating that night, people noticed it through our characters, they started flirting with each other before we did. :P

D&D is quite fun. And can lead to many things... I don't like RP'ing with some people at conventions anymore... I know what they have done together! O.o Lol

My university actually has a Role Playing Society, which is on every Thursday. It's alot of fun but I don't go to it anymore because my ex is there, and so is my old flatmate, who is a psycho woman who chases people with her collection of katanas. No joke.

I think we should all hug Sabre, seen as he's crying into his pillow right now. :P *hugs Sabre*

But that's not autism. It's a bit No True Scotsman as nothing in autism prevents love.

That joke ...doesn't make a whole lot of sence. That or I have a horrible grasp of human biolagy. Maybes thats why people write their names in the snow?

I hate people like that. I had a friend who had airguns and used to cock them and fire at people, only there was air inside, or he would load, point, but didn't have any air in. These people seem to find it funny that others are concerned for their own well being.

Thanks for the hug. I hate contact in RL, but on a forum it's fine. Plus Im used to it hanging out with a bunch of furfags. :P Despite the womans bra I'm currently wearing, I'm a mans man and made of sturner stuff. Actually I'm just really bitter, and in a good, but weird mood right now. I won't go into why, but today plucky optamism makes me go "aww how sweet" rather then fill me with rage at their disconnection from reality. Under other circemstances I think I would have dismantled peoples hopes and Firas idealism with an overdose of RL.

Sorry, Im rambling about me. Here. Have these dying plants and unhealthy chocolates.

Sorta off topic, but have I mentioned that I can't help but just like Sabre so, so much recently? I don't know why, but most of his posts in some way or another make me happyfaec.

So anyway, love. I have no personal experience to speak of nor do I really think about it too much. Love is, oddly enough, a second or even third priority to me. I'm not going to go all DRL or Fox-shot and say I'm incapable of loving someone, I most certainly am, it's just... I wanna do it LATER rather than now.

Strangely enough, that's what I and my GF did in one of the roleplays on the site.
