I'll be honest. My original definition wasn't specific, and it may seem confusing. However, that's because originally I was only addressing the topic of love when pertaining to romance. I then expanded upon it and explained its purpose within friendship. All of the points I have made thus far are accurate.

actually, I'm just hyperfocussing on a point and following it through, the dictionary has no clue what love is. it's different for every person on the planet. For me, love is one of those strands in your soul that holds your life together, and your life to other lives, that's why it hurts so much when its broken. But it doesn't really have some tangible, real description of it. it comes in whatever form it wants to and that's what makes it so great

If there were such a thing as a 'soul', I'm sure that description would fit well. Do I know every little detail about the world? No, of course not. There is nothing to prove that a soul actually exists though. I'm not outright saying that souls don't exist, but I'll remain skeptical until there's real evidence of such a concept. There is plenty of research in pyschology, biology, sociology, and other fields that back up the Dictionary's definitions, however.

On a more...helpful note, my ex was the same way.  I first met her when she was 18 and about a year later she already wanted to marry me and have big plans for the future and blah blah blah but then later came to a more...realistic conclusion.  I wouldn't take her claims seriously.
