Sapphire
You are still in the very early stages of a relationship which, from what you've implied, you really want to work out over the long run. That being said sex or anything sexual period too early is never a good idea (unless, like Xort said, that's the only reason for being in one). You two should be focusing on communication, trust, etc and developing strong roots from the get go to build up a solid foundation. From my own personal experience in serious relationships sexuality too early has almost always had negative consequences (if not in the short term then the long term). Everyone is different though and while sexuality in a relationship (before marriage) doesn't always lead to some sort of downfall long term after only three weeks?? I think it's safe to say you know what to do. User, I'm gonna be off topic real quick, you and Julius are like my best friends on this forum. You guys RULE. (< Except 3 of us!)OT: I appreciate the advice. And as you could tell from the like 3 page long post my GF left on my wall on FB I think she trusts me, and I really trust her. :)

Sapphire
Sure, here it is everybody, the like 3 page long poem my girlfriend Jamie posted on my Facebook Wall. Baby I love you with all my heart, with everything I am inside and out,all my heart and all of my soul,I love you more todaythen I did in the start. You take my breath awayand amaze me by simply being you,I wish you could see how amazing you areand what I see when I look at you, what I see every time I look in your eyes. The things you do that melts my heartare the things you don't even seem to be aware of,the incredibly sweet and caring thingsyou do just because that's you,you amaze me more every day. There's things that I dream about, hopes and things I'd like to dobut if I could only have one wishthen I'd wish just to spend forever with you, with you is where I belong.Baby I love you with all my heart, with everything I am inside and out,all my heart and all of my soul,I love you more todaythen I did in the start.I don't need a thingas long as I can hear you say you love me,my future spent with youand waking to your face throughout my life, what more could I ever want? You give my life meaning and give me direction , you're more amazing than any dream could beand I don't know how I got lucky enoughto be able to call you mine. The harder things getand with every rock in the roadI just look at you face and rememberwhy I'm still standing at alland face anything with a smile and hope.Baby I love you with all my heart, with everything I am inside and out,all my heart and all of my soul,I love you more todaythen I did in the start. You're a part of me as deeply as a person can be,I feel you flowing through me like my bloodand echoing in my heart with every beat,I need you like I need breath, you're the missing part of my soul.I wish you could see what I seeand feel what I feel every time you say my name so softlyand whisper a simple "I love you",I wish you could see you through my eyes. After all this time of being in loveI still get butterflies, just by knowing you love memakes everything easier somehow, you're my every wish come true.Baby I love you with all my heart, with everything I am inside and out,all my heart and all of my soul,I love you more todaythen I did in the start.I don't know what I did to deserve you,I don't think I ever could, but I swear you must be an angelsent down just for me,how could you be anything but that? You're my living miracle,I still can't believe that you're realbut you are and I'm thankfulmore then I could ever say,my precious prayer come true People say that loves cools downafter time and life hitbut this love still feels so amazing,so fresh and so newthat I know that I'll love you till my last day is through.Baby I love you with all my heart, with everything I am inside and out,all my heart and all of my soul,I love you more todaythen I did in the startPretty nice, eh?I told her that I never thought I would get to the bottom

Fluxy
I'll give, it is sweet. I am not going to asses it, and put my views on the writing part to keep this at a good occasion, but the idea is nice.
Sabre
I can't read poems. I assume it's vomit inducing or really emo? Either way, poetry is like the song thing just mentioned. Everyone who gets a girlfriend sudderly becomes a poet for a bit, as if it's somehow required.

Everyone who gets a girlfriend sudderly becomes a poet for a bit, as if it's somehow required.I'm a poet. I'm not in a relationship, of course, but I would assume that most people who are in a new relationship would write poetry for one of two reasons:#1. They are poets. Some people just like to write poetry. It is potentially a very expressive form of writing, mostly due to the relative lack of restrictions associated with normal writing. But that's off topic, which leads us to...#2. They are 'high on life', if you will, leading to a greater desire to express their feelings in new and unique ways, so as to capture to new feelings. Poetry, being relatively easy to pick up and be competent at, as well as being a very expressive form of writing by its very nature, ALONG with holding a general association with love in the first place, is a natural choice. "User"
Everyone who gets a girlfriend sudderly becomes a poet for a bit, as if it's somehow required.Nah...everyone who gets a girlfriend ends up either:A: posting pictures of her/them togetherB: posting pictures of them embraced in a slobbering kiss for all the world to see C: talking about her in every other post for a day or specific length of timeD: all of the above. In the past I've fallen into option D but really, I know of no one who becomes a poet overnight. Furthermore I've researched some of the text in that poem and it's been copied from some other source, so technically no one is a poet here. None I could name though.C- I hate those buggers in RL, only worse when they have been dumped. As for the plagerism claim, it's like the idea that a dictionary contrains every story ever writen. Of course the lines are going to be the same. It's what they do. They think it's special but it really isn't.

None I could name though.C- I hate those buggers in RL, only worse when they have been dumped.Oddly enough, I'm agreeing with you in the Love Life thread. What's the world coming to, eh?As for the plagerism claim, it's like the idea that a dictionary contrains every story ever writen. Of course the lines are going to be the same. It's what they do. They think it's special but it really isn't.Ah! Here's the disagreeable part of it. I knew it would show its face! You're being horribly vague here, and yet asserting it as a fact. Were I to enter a relationship and feel great surges of emotion regarding my partner, I would write poetry. Sappy, lovey-dovey poetry. As such, I take a bit of personal offense that you would insult either poetry as a whole or the people who write poetry as a way of expressing their feelings. I would love to continue, but I'm trying to stay on my good behavior here and this is going off-topic. Please, though - make a topic about this particular subject, or PM me and I'll debate this point.On-topic, I think the poem - partly plagiarized or no - was sweet. Not the best piece of writing, but sweet nonetheless. I'd feel like a million bucks if I woke up to that on my Facebook. Robcot, you lucky devil you. Steve
Everyone who gets a girlfriend sudderly becomes a poet for a bit, as if it's somehow required.Like User said, it depends xD, but yeah, along those lines, something new simply pops up in most people. Instead of poems, I used to write letters on a monthly basis and that lasted for 2 years until I realized I kept writting the same stuff over and over and over, and now it happens about once every year , oh funny , funny youth. Instead of poems, I used to write letters on a monthly basis and that lasted for 2 years until I realized I kept writting the same stuff over and over and over, and now it happens about once every year , oh funny , funny youth.Aw, I do that too, the letters I mean I write on paper as often as I can find time for, now that Asper is in the army, and I write him an email almost every day I would try my hand at poetry, but it always sounds so ragged and heavy handed, it's not the story I want to tell. I'm much better and description and prose, so I stick to that. I was considering trying something free-verse tho I can't read poems. I assume it's vomit inducing or really emo? Either way, poetry is like the song thing just mentioned. Everyone who gets a girlfriend sudderly becomes a poet for a bit, as if it's somehow required. That's not always true. I'm pretty sure most of the guys I know have never tried their hand at poetry to impress their fair lady. of course, more artistic people might find a better outlet for their emotions in poetry or prose, and love isn't something that's easy to bottle up. I'm currently preparing to spill my guts onto paper for the sake of that very same reason It's a release for all the strange things that are going on in your mind, and some choose poetry as that release. Awkward.Or if you do any of the following-Know/hang around gay people-Suspected or come out as a furry-Know what -insert womans clothing item- is-Know about art or culture-Have or like something considered 'girly' (eg. Hello Kitty game)-Mention anything about feelings-Be nice to someone-Not recoil in horror at the mention of penis-Know any facts even remotly related to gay peopleBtw, 'acting gay' doesn't really exsist. They are just normal people who like guys.
Redeemer
Hmm, Sabre, some of those points don't add up. Like being nice to someone - that doesn't make for appearing homo. To add to the list though, I find that your stereotypical gays tend to say "Oh my god, oh my god!" alot.

To add to the list though, I find that your stereotypical gays tend to say "Oh my god, oh my god!" alot.I disagree, and I havent included any of the joking "Your such a fag" type comments I get from said gay friends. Allow me to go into detail.-Know/hang around gay peoplefairly obvious. Gays hang out together-Suspected or come out as a furryAgain, there is this idea that furries are gay. I am 1 of only 2 straights at a 30 strong furmeet.-Know what -insert womans clothing item- isKnowing about what side the buttons on a shirt mean, why are they are that way, as well as knowing what stockings are among other things, makes people (well, a person) assume I would only know this stuff if I was a crossdresser and therefor gay.-Know about art or cultureThis one sounds kind of vauge, but again, knowing about Queer as Folk, or Brokeback mountain, or whatever gay artist, work, or social cliches makes people assume you are gay, because why would a straight know this stuff? (answer- Hangs around gays, and some of it is interesting)-Have or like something considered 'girly' (eg. Hello Kitty game)Fairly obvious. It's got pink and rainbows, which have been 'claimed' by gay culture.-Mention anything about feelings-Be nice to someoneThese can be lumped together as 1"My boyfriend dumped me!""(oh god, not this again) ...erm, hug?""Eww! What are you? Gay?"-Not recoil in horror at the mention of penisFairly obvious.-Know any facts even remotly related to gay peopleAgain, fairly obvious.
