I was too distraught to post here, and still can't help but just cry when I think of us in the past. I ended up getting scared for her safety when I got some shifty texts from her, so I did what I thought was the smart decision and told her mother. This just pissed her off and she broke contact. This made me very angry at myself, so angry I reared back and hit my concrete wall, several times. This led to a badly sprained right hand, several slashed and bleeding knuckles, and virtually no emotional change. Today, I'm a lot calmer, and last night she agreed to stay close. I'm hoping for us to get back together but I don't know how likely that is. It's hard to text her without saying "I love you" or putting hearts after my messages, but it's better than not being able to talk to her. I wouldn't be able to stand that. You guys in the TF2 community know who Sassy is, right? Well, for all intents purposes I have a long-distance relationship with her, for the moment at least. Me and a girl named Jessica met in 8th grade when for whatever reason she signed my yearbook. We ended up communicating through DeviantArt for several years, as we didn't have any shared classes. We found that we had a lot in common as far as preferences go. Eventually it came up that I was a furry, but she was surprisingly accepting of that. Our mutual geekiness made us fast friends. Last October I asked her to the Homecoming dance. She gladly accepted, and we had a good time watching people dance awkwardly and making our own attempts at dancing. That December I asked her out to a movie (The 2nd Sherlock Holmes, she's a big fan. Good movie, actually), then again for valentine's day. Our local "tribute to your city's heritage" carnival came around and I finally fessed up that I love her over a giant brick of fresh curly fries. Turns out we started talking again, and quite a bit. It's interesting...at times I find she will send me about 5 texts in a row talking about alot of different things before asking if I even got her texts to respond. So basically, weeks go by, and she's opening up about many concerns she has, which i had not even known about prior. Honestly I'm rather proud of how I handled myself. I didn't get worked up and I didn't break down. I just stated my piece and told her I just want her to be happy. We agreed to keep in touch at my request. I know I'm walking a fine line with it but I still need her right now, just as someone I can talk to. Out of nowhere, she suddenly started sparking up conversations with me, and since I'm in a deep crush with this girl, of course I went along with it. It's been so great talking again, kind of like when you run into that best friend you hadn't talked to in years. Hell, she even wants to go to Knotfest with me in August (come to find out she's a huge Deftones fan). Assuming she works tomorrow, I might ask her out and see if she wants go see a movie, as she seemed very curious about Moonrise Kingdom...as I'm kind of a shy guy (and still taking caution with our friendship), I might not get the courage to ask her out (though I wouldn't play it off like asking out on a date), but if I do, crossing my fingers! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
