Of the two undeveloped characters, I tend to prefer the blue vixen for pure aesthetic reasons.

It is... 'Katt'.

Grammar Cop momentum aside,

I like both. I am more leaning towards

Katt, both there is not so much 'G00D' fanart

as her as there is of Krystal.

I simply can not choose!!!

I'd have to say Krystal just because she was designed to be an audience favorite.

While Katt is a nice player as well... I just can't say I prefer her over Krystal.

You know, the least you could do is SPELL KATT'S NAME RIGHT.

The all-caps did

Uh, this is a shot in the dark, but guessing by your username, you´re pro-Katt? ;)

Username had something to do with it maybe 8 years ago. Now I'm just a washed up oldfag fan who keeps the name for lulz.

But yes, I am pro-Katt.

Between Krystal and Katt, I have to say Katt.

Krystal has potential to be a great character, but Krystal more or less had her original diminished in Starfox Adventures. The thing, the one of the main things people have holding for the Krystal argument is often, "She's attractive" or "I don't want to think how Fox would be able to go on without her". Or "For Fox's sake, I don't want her gone". Why is it that, her characterization revolves completely around a happiness of another character? ( She has shown them, I've noticed and they tried to separate her away from Fox, they just did it in a way that was ridiculous. )  What has Krystal really brought to the table? Other than a whole new legion of fans who are mesmerized by her appearance and her 'kind' and 'gentle' personality. Which we really haven't seen much of in the games, unless you mean the way they shoehorned her flirting with Fox. In fact, she actually shows a tad bit of sarcasm and her scolding is not so much as 'loving' as... well. Yes.

Am I saying she is cruel and not as nice? Absolutely not, but I really don't see how many people are seeing these traits in her when she doesn't show in the games, where she's supposedly so sweet, kind, and generous. The point is, she was brought into the series when Nintendo simply didn't give a damn anymore about consistency and with Rare leaving shoehorned her into being Fox's potential other. I do think she has potential, but she was brought in a game where they stopped caring after CloudRunner Fortress and demoted her worth in that game. Because of that, I have to give her lower in opinion compared to Katt.

Katt meanwhile, is given characterization in Starfox 64, the manual and ultimately the maybe canon/maybe not canon comic of Farewell Falco. It reveals a lot about her, and even with her minimal screentime she still has a more consistent characterization than Krystal.

One of the main things that points to her kind nature is the fact that while searching for the reason of her parent's, nay, her entire planet's demise, she intercepted a distress signal from a remote planet, and decided to investigate and lend her assistance, even when she was more than occupied and did not know the inhabitants of the planet.

I do see that as kind, it's just on the principle that a lot of people seem to think that's all she is. They treat her as if all she is kindness, gentleness, and understanding, and while she is, they treat it as if she's dare I say it - flawless. Is she compassionate? Definitely. Understanding? Likely so. Gentle? Not so much. In some instances, she's downright foolish and headstrong. Her writing in game isn't consistent with her profile, which a lot of Starfox characters suffer from Adventures and onward. Heck, her profile for the games are often really... sad. It's like they say "Oh, she's a telepath!" but... what else? We don't get much to work with, it's like her whole plot from Adventures was dropped off the map and it's all great and people seem to forget her planet and everything she knew was DESTROYED. That's not just something you skip over.

But I suppose I really only blame it on the rushed writing of the games that came out after Starfox 64.

As I said, she has potential, it's just is a case of terrible writing because of the random shift from Dinosaur Planet to becoming Starfox Adventures.

Krystal, I like her pre-command character more than Katt's. Well, I actually like Krystal more in every way to most characters, except Fox.

I love both characters, both of their versions before Command that is. But my vote goes to Krystal. She is my 2nd favorite StarFox Character, with Fox as #1 and Falco as #3. She is nice, caring, and can be just as much of a fighter as Fox or Falco. :D Katt is more of the same, but I just find Krystal to be more likable.

Well, that is my input...

I voted Katt. I think she's highly overlooked and underrated. Plus I like kittehs. :3

Krystal for obvious reasons. :P

But on a more personal note lets just say....if it wasn't for her then I wouldn't have met my first girlfriend and probably wouldn't even care about the concept of romantic love and relationships.  She will have a special place in my life for that alone :)

Guest Scorpion03

As im sure u all guessed due to my avatar I am a small fan of krystal and she is the main reason i stuck with starfox, as i originally felt that adventures was a little too far detached from starfox 64 so i never actually bought it. After having decided to play adventures i kinda got hooked with her, and due to that reason she gets my vote. After that I can probably now even say that adventures is one of my favourite games

Oh come now. Krystal certainly is "developed." Why do you think she has so much raunchy fanart?
