What type of guitar do you own (Frankly I've seen some guitarists around here  :P )

I own 4 Six string guitars (2 acoustic 2 electric) and a 12 string acoustic

6 string - Commonly most used type of guitar.

12- String More strings plus newer tones

Bass - 4 to 7 (and sometimes 8) strings

Fretless Bass - They produce a smoother sound than a normal bass guitar and you never have to worry about fretting a chord wrong (There are fretless guitars but they're mainly home made)

Chapman Stick - Basically just the neck of a Guitar with bass and normal strings.

Steel Guitar - Mainly played like keyboards mixed with bass plucking.

Steve Vai Triple neck - You're crazy my friend... one Neck 6 another 12 and the last neck a Fretless 6 string electric guitar

Harp Guitar- 2 in 1. Half harp, half acoustic guitar.

Double Neck - One neck 6, the other 12

Pikasso - You rarely see any of these. They have strings criss crossing over one another yet the strings never touch each other.

Any of em' if you wanna be a heavy kinda guy, Then a 6 - 7 string electric is for you (My teacher has a 7 string guitar) But if you like challenges and classic tones, a 12 string acoustic is for you. Or if you like soft tones then a Fretless or Acoustic bass is yours. Hey, I actually have one I don't really play, once I learn how to play I could sell it to you.  :) Are you a lefty or a righty?

Well I'm both Left and Right. Do you prefer a whammy bar? Or the rhythym  and Lead switch?

I dunno...whammy bar seems kinda '60's/'70's rock.

Rhythm and Lead switch, I guess, though I certainly have nothing against whammy bars.

I've chosen "Normal Guitar" option, due to the fact I'd be just starting out with a git-box, axe...A Gibson would be nice, or a Fender.

*EDIT*

Rhythm and Lead Switch! :D

If you wanna here the 'On n' Off' listen to Randy Rhoads. If you want some whammy, try Jimi Hendrix.

Okay, cool, thanks.

I got a buddy whose brother has a rare Gibson guitar, there's only a handful of them in existence, there's something weird about them, if they're not strung and tuned just so, they sound weird/off key, but when strung and tuned just right, they sound GREAT.  He got it from a pawn shop for practically nothing.

*EDIT*

Heard Randy Rhoads and Jimi Hendrix, I prefer Randy Rhoads (and the rhythm and lead switch)!

Don't tell me it's a 1959 Les Paul or a Moderne

It's not a Moderne, from what I see there (thanks for the pic).  Must be a Les Paul.

The Whammy Bar is nice, but a bit slow paced for me.

Hm...Could you probably snap a Pic and post it?  :)

I have my own way of the On/Off I yank out the amp chord in my guitar and keep plugging and unplugging it.

EDIT: If looks like a chipped Hourglass it's a Les paul. Or if It's a FAT Chipped hourglass most likely a CES. (Like what Elvis used)

Well, I'll try, or at least try to find an image of what it looks like and post it.

They moved, unfortunately.  They're in Seattle, WA., and I'm down here in L.A. County, CA.

Ha ha, that's cool how you do that.

EDIT:

It looks similar to this:

You got it!  It didn't resemble a fat chipped hourglass, but it's still pretty good.  And rare.  That pawn broker must be kicking himself, or maybe he didn't know what he had.

There was a "No returns" policy on it, though, and the pawn broker was glad to be rid of it for some weird reason...he didn't even wanna touch it, like he was scared of it from some reason.  O_o

This is my main guitar I use. It's not mine in this pic but they're EXACTLY the same. Brand and everything.

Yeah, but it plays okay, when stung and tuned just perfectly so...the pawn broker was a little weird

and crazy, maybe that was it...there's noting wrong with the guitar (besides being a bit temperamental).  :)

Once I can actually play a guitar I plan on getting a pure black Gibson SG. ANGUS YOUNG FTW.

Not bad!

I may do the same when I learn how to play a guitar.

I want mine to be in the shape of an axe, or, failing that, I at least want a black, coffin style guitar case with red satin lining.

I own a guitar, but never learned to actually play it, and not sure what type it is. I imagine it's your standard electric guitar though.

I would love to own Frank Klepacki's Vengeance guitar, however. Reminds me of an XM8 Prototype.

He has a link to a video of him playing it there, but he doesn't start playing until 5:20 in the video.

That might be another way of looking at it, but it still reminds me of the XM8 assault rifle.

Especially since I heard that the XM8's polymer is blue if not treated, or something along those lines.
