It's late night and I'm having trouble sleeping, so I was wondering if I'm the only neat freak here that likes to take a shower everyday  :P .  I personally feel bad if I spend a day without taking one, not to say, it's my way to wake up most of the times on those early days of school.

Depends on my schedule. If I have to do something that day, I shower. If not, I usually shower every other day because I stay at home alot and noone here cares if I'm in the clothes I wore yesterday.

I take one every morning and after LQ practice on Sunday evenings. So at least 8 times a week

7 times, once a day. Sometimes I'll skip and make it 6.

I usually shower every morning, but sometimes I'll skip a day, but by the next day I'll feel so gross, I'll have to take a shower.

Usually 7, i take 6 during the week (can never be bothered on a saturday, i dont go anywhere) but odds are at one point during the week ive had a particularly filthy day at work so i take a shower after work as well as beforehand.

Now I feel dirty. Laugh.gif Usually 3 per week, but sometimes more if I do some hard, manual labour.

Usually 1 per day, but some of the time I just get lazy and skip it, unless I REALLY feel like I need it :D.

If I let my mother, only 1~4 per week.

That is because according to her I

"Leave the bathroom in an awful state"

and that I "Do not take into account how

much effort it takes to clean the bathroom".

Otherwise, I try to get as much baths

as I can. (I love to take baths).

Usually twice a day, I do 2 cardio sessions everyday, so usually 15 times a week :o

My water bill reflects it too :x

Typically 3 to 4 a week.

But I'm weird with showers, as I seem to have an anomalous body chemistry.  I tend to perspire whenever it gets warmer or cooler (yes, when it gets colder ), so paradoxically my heaviest perspiration happens right after I've gotten out of the shower and already finished drying off.  Even lukewarm showers cause this heavy perspiring effect, so it's not just hot showers.  And considering deodorants and antiperspirants irritate my skin (and my perspiration just burns through them anyway like they aren't even there), I always have an odor of some kind.  But there are two kinds of odors to me - mundane and pungent.  If my odor is mundane, I don't worry much about it, since it's just a bit of ordinary musk.  (But Americans are particularly more obsessive than people in other hygiene-conscious countries about maintaining a constant zero level of body odor, so I still get flak for it no matter how faintly I smell.)  If my odor is pungent, I'll know it's time to shower soon.  Though sometimes it becomes powerfully pungent only a couple hours after my last shower.  Still, I can't just take another shower so soon, because taking showers too often plays havoc with my body temperature regulation, and also causes me to perspire much more heavily anyway.

Hey, I'm a tropical island creature.  I don't like temperatures around me rising or falling a lot like they do in this continent. :P It actually gets hotter here in temperate North America than it ever got on the island.  High 70s or low 80s - that's my preferred temperature year-round.  I have woken up so often with my pillowcase sopping wet just because the temperature in my room changed a lot while I was sleeping.

I'm not entirely sure what kind of anomalous body chemistry I have.  I don't have the metabolic disorder that makes people smell like fish.  And though there is pungence, the perspiration doesn't taste sweet, so it's not diabetes-related metabolic disorder (though I do have very mild hereditary type II diabetes along with the rest of my siblings).

Fortunately, I've found that a lot of masculine gay guys prefer sweaty smelly guys.  It's a turn-on.  It used to be a turn-on to people in general before the advent of regular bathing at the beginning of the 20th century.  Having a strong powerful body odor was traditionally an aphrodisiac.

It's kinda like that for me too.  But I shower 7+ days a week just sort of as a meditation thing as well.

I'm a shower a day person, but if I feel like a treat I have a hot bath with lots of bubbles and a tray of chocolates near by. Yes, I eat chocolates when I'm in the bath. My life is good.

I need a shower right now since I just got back from LQ practice! And then I'll end up taking one when I get up for work in the morning :o

I also take showers after I wake up, even if I'm clean, just because it helps me to wake up. :P

Yeeeah, that sounds exactly like me, specially on those nasty days when I have to wake up at 6am to go to college.
