Falcory
Well with Uprising coming out, I'm really in the KI mood. I've been a fan of the series for a while really....just a little bit after Brawl came out. I got interested in Pit's origin and series and I ended up liking it as a whole. It was a series that was pretty much like Metroid mixed with Zelda, you had action-based gameplay shooting monsters and such, and then you had the item and dungeon gameplay where reading maps and collecting items were vital. Then there was even the feature where saving Centaurions from their stone state in the dungeons, ended up as help for you in the Boss chamber with you having some backup. It's something I never quite see in to many games......even considering ones with Co-op. I hope it's in the new Uprising game to be honest. x3Then there's the story to consider. Mostly the theme of it is taken from Greek Mythos. Medusa is of course the main villain, and you see other references. (Such as Twinbellows in the trailer) It's sort of a Nintendo "Clash of the Titans" if you will, and I love it. 83 So....anyone here like or played any of the old Kid Icarus games? I'm currently trying to stop being lazy and finish up Myths and Monsters. lolOr is anyone here excited about Kid Icarus: Uprising?

Falcory
Well Masahiro Sakurai said that you'll spend five minutes flying to the land zone, during which you have to fight enemies. Once getting to the land zone you do land battle which involves you taking out a bunch of foes. Then finally you confront a boss. It sounds a little bit like the old Kid Icarus games but with a new twist. Was anyone surprised at the amount of weapons Pit had in the trailer? I saw some claw weapons, and a long staff, and some sort of fireball shooting weapon. And I even swear at one point I saw Pit with a crossbow. rainfyre66
What's scary is that a lot of you probably weren't even born when the first Kid Icarus came out! At any rate, the new one looks awesome, I just worry that it will suffer from cheesy, cheesy voice acting. On one hand, I think it's clever to have Pit say "Sorry to keep you waiting!", but the delivery of the line and the voice over tutorial throughout the commercial...yeeee. They're really bringing Pit back in style though, stylistically and hopefully conceptually jit looks great! It's definitely a big reason of why I'm so getting a 3DS when it comes out. Cheesy voice acting? It didn't sound really cheesy in the trailer. Pit's line of "Sorry to keep you waiting" was pretty clever and I can see it already incorporated in the next Smash game or such as "his" line. lol I also got a rush from hearing "The Pit of old has a few new moves to show you! Bark like a dog!" It was just kinda awesome. And the style is definitely one big turn on. It really brings the game interest and looks really pretty visually. rainfyre66
I'll admit, the dialogue doesn't grate me as much after a few viewings. Love the eggplant wizard surprise at the end, a great ending to a great trailer (and hopefully great game)!
