I'm a furry, probably a six, although sometimes I wish I wasn't.

By the way, if you don't fursuit, regularly attend cons, and draw you are not 100% furry. You can't be.

Well im jsut randomly defending ppl cos im in that sort of mood today, but i think that anyone who picked 100% did so according to thier own views just as everyone else did, therefore a 100% furry may not wear fursuits and go to conventions, possibly because theyre not in a position to do so or because they dont like the idea in public, it makes them no less of a furry.

But it does. What would that make a furry who DOES go beyond, then? 120%? It does not work that way.

All i said is that not all of them will see the system the same way as u, it could easily mean your interpretation of furry. For example the likelihood of u falling in love with a furry or how u see various furry chars. A lot of people here are addicted to krystal, which includes me, shes second in my list of favourite furry chars. Just behind Holo, who (if she really existed) i would more than happily die for, which in one way would make me 100% furry, tehre is certainly no human who i feel that way for.

I picked 6 because i felt that was more suitable for the sort of person i am, but i could have easily picked 100% furry if i took into account my feelings, would u not agree?

Therefore the importance of fursuiting or conventions is irrelevant

This is flawed, because if you see your self as maximum furry when there's a lot of the fandom you leave out, it means you're wrong and overplaced yourself simply because there is MORE to it you do not do. To put it into perspective, what if one of these guys picked up fursuiting after all and then came back to this topic? They have no higher option to bullet themselves into because they mistakenly put themselves at the top earlier.

But they havent mistakenly put themselves in the wrong place to start with as this is directly related to personal opinion as it does not state what dictates 100% furry. As a result, if u have a massive interest in furry chars and decide your a 100% furry, and then start fursuiting, ure surely still 100% furry as nothing has changed, ure still a fan.

The only change would be if u decided u no longer had any interest in this and then you would drop your score anyway, plus theres the high likelihood that by the time this change has happened this particular question will be long shut.

haha its not an argument, jsut a difference of opinion to be honest

I guess I'll just leave this alone now. Anymore and it'll just be a "NO U" battle.

The definition of what makes someone a furry can be completely different to everyone.  The word "furry" can be vague at times.  Jeremy Bernal for example has said he doesn't consider himself a furry even though he's a really good artist who runs one of the biggest furry pay sites out there (sexyfur.com)

But they havent mistakenly put themselves in the wrong place to start with as this is directly related to personal opinion as it does not state what dictates 100% furry.

Given the vagueness of the word I'm going to have to agree with this to an extent...however I know the majority of the fandom wouldn't consider you 100% furry if you didn't fursuit, attend cons, etc

Robert is awesome, I really should promote him or something on the KLA.  The key to being the ownage and respected in online debate is knowing when to back off if you are actually wrong about something :)

As for me I consider myself a 6.  I don't RP, attend cons, or have any drawing skill whatsoever.  I'm mainly in it for the artwork :P

Equip logic and reason. Be a sceptic and most importantly, realise the goal. It's not about 'winning', it's about facts.

Sometimes. A lot of debate isn't really about facts so much as it is pitting two opinions against each other. Facts play a part, but they aren't the point either.

I actually agree with milyway64 on this one, as much as an argument relies on facts, in cases like this it also relies heavily on opinion, this conversation is a good example where there are little in the way of facts and its more on a persons opinion and understanding of what is being asked

Debates are fine, but they tend to bore

my pretty quickly. It is not like I am going

to change the guy/gal/bot's opinion, so what

I say, I say, and what he says, he says.

I honestly have more opinions on stuff based

on personal prefference rather than logic, which

CAN conflict with someone's else opinion.

Right, but most arguments, in my experience, come from someone posting bollocks as fact (The 'everyones a closeted gay' thing a while back) and people wanting to preserve their world view and opinions despite knowing better. (Something a friend of mine calls 'naïvetéy'. Perfect example is the disney true love and monogamy proponents from the love life thread)

Again, this also isn't necessarily true. I've had my opinion on something changed many times on a debate, because I was able to see why the other person thought that way and, when compared to my previous opinion, felt more correct and sensible to me.

I'd hate to cross drama into other threads, but I know what you mean. However, at the core of all that, it's still opinion vs. opinion. It's just that, unfortunately, some opinions are more right than others, usually gauged by evidence or the previously mentioned facts.

I'm a 10, but I'm not into fursuits or conventions...ever. I prefer static therianthropy (without transformation sequences) over anthropomorphism. :3

I would put myself as a 7.

I really like being a furry, though I would probably never fursuit myself, I like the concept, and might find myself at a convention someday!

Depends on if this is a straight-only test.  Female fur does absolutely nothing for me. :P *hasn't watched yet*
