It depends on the character and story creators. Albert Wesker from Resident Evil appears often enough, yet his personality goes off the charts in some games. From being calm, controlled, manipulative, and analytical in the earlier games, he goes to an arrogant, egotistical mass of complexes in RE5, completely against previous character traits.

Eh, Wesker was pretty arrogant in Code: Veronica, and was pretty egostistical too. RE5 he just dropped all held bars and went all out.

Not denying that. But, and it's been a while since I've played Code Veronica, isn't that where he really got his inhuman abilities to kick in? Chris managed to wound him there, but Wesker still could of killed him, but as a reward for actually damaging him. Then in RE5 he has a god complex, then goes, "ME WESKER SMASH EVERYTHING! RAWR RAWR RAWR!"

Well at the end of the game he basically had gone batshit insane. I pretty much saw it coming, anyway. I mean, this IS Resident Evil.

As the canon of Command is questionable,

I would not recommend counting it.

Regardless of it's strangeness, Command is still more technically canon than, say, the comics.

yep the comics are very intertanig but sadly are a bad refrence :|

Because you've proven this.

The comics are canon, IIRC. Command only is until it starts sprawling every which way.

If this is referring to me, not even CLOSE to the point.

Which:

I would have to disagree. It's not a matter of "it's canon" or "it's not canon." It's an issue of degrees. When dealing with games, I believe the priority scale goes:

1. What creators / owners say when asked specific questions about the game (original intent).

2. In-game (cutscenes, dialog, events)

3. Instruction Manual / Box

4. Official Player's Guide

5. Comics / TV Shows

Any facts or events that contradict a fact or event from a "more original" source are ignored in favor of the more recent and/or higher priority facts.

With Command, though it is impossible for all of the stories to be the final outcome, until we know for certain which will be official, we should consider them all simultaneously to have happened and account for all the complexity therein. Regardless, Command, as a game, has a far higher priority than a comic book (which historically, when considering past Star Fox comics, are completely ignored by the game makers themselves).

Then it all depends on who made the comic. Valve and TF2 is a good example of this. The comics are "canon" backstory but the comics are made in-house.

Farewell Beloved Falco, I'm not too sure about.

Again, comics made in-house would not differ from the game's story, since the creators of both were the same. So, there's no problem. If those comics made by Valve VIOLATED facts from Valve's own games, when deciding what was the most canon about the games, you'd have to pick the games and not the comics.

Then I suppose the only thing left to ask is in what way FBF mucked up the game's plot.

well, then they also can be correct. and eunght oppions make somthing a fact

Sorry, but enough opinions doesn't make something fact. It doesn't work that way. I am done with this for the sake of going off topic, since Mr. K here is actually pushing for Krystal and doing it very well.

No, that'd make her what everyone believes is the best character ever. The actual title can't belong to a single one because "best" is subjective, and thus there will be always some character they haven't seen yet they'd like better.

And that's only assuming everyone agreed. Fact of the matter is they don't, seeing as in this topic alone Krystal is only BARELY winning, and we have biased young teenage furries to account for as well.

No, I'm not leaving this topic. I WANT to leave your silly logic because there's just no making you see the glaring flaws in them and in the end, we waste each other's time.

People used to unanimously agree that the world was flat.

We now know it is round.

Just because people think something in large numbers doesn't make it true.

Here, educate yourself a bit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argumentum_ad_populum

Might want to look up other logical fallacies as well, and not just ajc3000fox either. If anyone's not familiar with logical fallacies, do look up the term so you can argue effectively.

i am not saying it is true for every thing

Then what? Be more consistent. This rule can't only be true for Krystal vs. Katt.

All popularity proves about a certain subject is that it is effective at catering to the most people at the present time.

Here's a review for the movie "Avatar" that discusses exactly how the phenomenon works. It's also funny.

Either way, I'm glad to see someone's acknowledging Command as a source for development of Krystal (or anyone else for that matter). The game -did- happen, whether people like to admit it or not, and some things in it were clear and consistent.

ya it not all too bad if they go off one of the decent endings

Hate to refer to Dermot when it comes to Krystal, but the Japanese tend to like the anti-Krystal set of endings and the Americans tend to like the pro-Krystal ones.

"Decent" is in the eye of the beholder.
