wait your leaving the topic YESSSS! :D na, i am playing i no enough oppions dont make a fact. but lets say i want to elect krystal as the best character in the world. then every body agrees. FACT

If you want to be taken seriously, first of all, stop using kindergarden grammar, and second , seriousness is also a matter when you are debating.

Hate to refer to Dermot when it comes to Krystal, but the Japanese tend to like the anti-Krystal set of endings and the Americans tend to like the pro-Krystal ones.

"Decent" is in the eye of the beholder.

This is why I mostly disregard command. It did happen, but what parts of it did? Who was with who and what were they doing for real?

It's okay up until the point it branches out to a loooot of extremity. You can't just have Krystal "either or" with Star Wolf and the military. She was either in one or the other as far as the big plotline is concerned.

The explicit plot points, yes, are mostly able to be thrown away. The Anglar Empire -probably- happened, and the team was split up. If you want to go out on a limb, Andross probably left things behind that showed he wasn't as one-dimensionally evil as we once thought as well, and Pigma is probably now a big Rubiks Cube for one reason or another. Slippy and Amanda are engaged. That's about as far as we can go.

However, there was a "spirit" that surrounded a lot of the stuff in Command, and the characters had specific motivations for their varying reactions as events came up. Those motivations are what should probably be considered canon. Wolf is now resorting to subtler tactics to take down Fox and crew. Krystal is really hurt by Fox's decision to kick her out and on a knife's edge for which path she'll  travel down. Katt really wants something to do with Falco.

That kind of thing, the emotional states of the characters before everything happens, can be taken as canon because, as Mr. Krystal said, it's the intent of the writers. Also, I used too many commas.

The problem with Command is we don't know WHICH parts of it happened. The other problem is alot of what Krystal does in Command is contradictory to her previous characterizations. If there was consistant, canonized details about Krystal, then all would be well and good, but there isn't, at least not of this moment.

Krystal's inconsistent even in the undisputed games: Assault and Adventures. Heck, Krystal's inconsistent just in Adventures.

If anything, Command just solidifies that point: Krystal is inconsistent. :D

I'm taking Samantha's side in this one. Krystal in adventures alone didn't make much sense with what she did and how she acted. It's only a step below of the mess Command made. She then proceeded to change drastically in assault, although she kept up with herself well enough in that game.

The events of Command itself are debatable, but as far as I'm aware, there are events in it that are consistent to all plotlines. The only thing that can discredit those facts is word from Nintendo itself of Command being noncanon, which was rumored to be true in interveiws concerning the next chronological game. (A gonintendo article and some other source said this)

As it is, Command, concerning Krystal alone, has at most half a game's worth of developement over the established. What we know is she was kicked off the team and raged hard, pushing her to join either StarWolf or the military. This rage could be seen as characterization (sweet until something doesn't go her way) or another inconsistency. As far as the games alone are concerned, this gives Krystal an edge if it's the former.

The comic fleshed Katt out a little deeper than a simple pouty emotion, though, but the question is does it count, or does it stand as glorified fanfiction?

You knwo I'll be honest with yu  I prefure the command krystla because she show'd that she doens't need a man to take care of her. Perhaps  that's what Q games was doing showing all the  FUreverts and stuff what she really was...

This is exactly why she did it to make Fox jealous or to hook up with Panther/Wolf. If anything, Command shows Krystal at her absolute most needy at any point in the entire series.

She was interesting in Command; that's for sure. Otherwise why would so many fans have such a strong reaction to the game?

The developers may have botched a lot of things with the game, but emotional response is not one of them.

Back OT...

I personally think Krystal is more developed. She has been in more games than Katt.

I also think that Krystal still needs to be developed. She's a great character, and one I look forward to (hopefully) seeing more of.

Other than that, she's downright hot

More games doesn't mean very much though. Example, Mario. Mario's been in a LOT of games and rarely changes. Luigi's been in less and has had 30x the developement Mario has.

She's not a great character. She COULD BE a great character. She isn't actually... yet.

Mm hm. See ajc3000, this is what I meant. There is NOTHING wrong with it, either. At all.

and there is nothing wrong with it. i know she is very hot. and what i am saying is just because of this she is not a sex symbol she is more. while some one might see her just as a sex symbol most people beilve she is wonderful character. i am just trying to say that she is not just something to drool about

But you just said she is. Enough of this, it's lasted about 8 pages of us straight bickering for too long without any real progress. This is because you don't know how to debate, frankly.

Anyway, I'd like it if someone, Robert, Mr. Krystal, could confirm who made the comic seeing as I don't know.

Well, yes. I see a lot of undeveloped potential in her character, not just a hot vulpine. She definitely adds to the series.

But guys, she's NOT her own character yet! She's exactly one backstory away from becoming so, because right now she IS a sex object and just a love interest for fox. She has no substance on her, just the occasional rage fit, getting captured, and hitting on Fox. This is it. This is all. We know absolutely nothing about her, and what we do know doesn't add up to her own character at times (pure of heart? Um, yeah, no.)

But, that leaves a lot of room for development, same with Katt, but we still haven't seen Katt as any sort of main character.

Besides, I would much rather have a love interest for Fox than Falco, that will at least keep the story interesting, but I have a feeling that Krystal is going to end up as the damsel in distress again in the next game.

That's the point. Krystal has a lot of room that's gone totally ignored for 2 games now.

And there's nothing wrong with Falco having one too. In fact it might be better for him seeing as he's a side character and is allowed to have his own drama without forcing into the player's agenda.

To my knowledge, Farewell Falco was sanctioned by Nintendo, and was even sold with Japanese copies of Adventures, so yes, it IS canon.

Yeah, I never really liked Falco. The only reason I could see to keep him would be his multi-lock laser

In this case, Katt's most likely the victor. She had a story around her that was consistent and made for the sole purpose of telling her and Falco's story. Krystal... not so much. She's still without one, and only has a few inconsistent personas.
