Redeemer
Apologies if a topic like this was already made, but I'm curious to see what all you SFO-dwellers survive on! You can tell us what you've eaten so far today and what you're planning to eat later, depending on what time of day it is where you are. I'm a great believer in the influences of diet on your mind, body and soul. I eat meat, vegetables and a few fruits (strawberries lol). I'm fatally allergic to bananas, the first time I had one I almost stopped breathing because my neck, throat and tongue had swelled up. So, if any of you wish to slyly "deal with me", place bananas around my place of living. Even breathing in their smell irritates my throat. XDAnyway, I have found that a diet of snack food makes me feel sluggish, not just physically. I noticed that I felt almost unsatisfied with my life, and the sight of chocolate made me feel like I was betraying myself somehow. Do any of you guys know what I mean? I felt guilty because I knew fine well I was indulging in something that wasn't ideal for every day consumption. That, and I was thinking about my waistline. Typical woman. I had to go vegetarian for 6 weeks once because I had run our of money and couldn't afford meat. I felt full of enery to start with, but then I began to feel like my energy was being sapped on simple trips to the shops, and my nails gained a funny, fragile texture and they broke when I knocked them off something too hard. My hair lost its lustre too.I feel so happy when I'm having a balanced diet, and the physical benefits are worth while. I get sort of smug and feel like I'm doing my body a favour, haha. What do you guys think of this? Keep an open mind, avoid accusations of crap-spouting please. As far as I'm concerned, if I feel proud of going out of my way to eat healthy things, then that encourages me to continue to eat healthy things, which is obviously a good thing. Please note, I'm not having a go at the people who are fond of fast food or snacks. McDonalds are my weakness, I just love those chicken nuggets... Their light, crispy batter... the steam rising from that pure white meat as you pite into it... That wonderful scent... Eh. So, do any of you think you eat unhealthily? Are you happy with it? Or do you simply feel it's not doing you any harm? Do you moderate the snacks you eat or are you a "I'm hungry, I eat" person? Do any of you eat when you're bored? Now that's a question people sometimes don't think about! So last night, my boyfriend and I had creamy peppercorn chicken with green beans and potatoes. So gewd. And this morning, I have had 2 boiled eggs, a sausage and 2 slices of bread. And I'm so totally not going to tell you about the massive chocolate cake I made 2 days ago that was filled with butter icing and jam, then covered in milk chocolate. Vy'drach
Chinese food is addictive, so you better be careful when eating it. But it tends to be healthier than what I normally eat, myself, so nothing wrong with me being addicted to it.

Four-eyed Vulpine
So far today I have had one of those chocolate Slim Fast shakes (not because I'm on a diet, but because they taste good), a glass of milk, a big mug of coffee with sugar and French vanilla creamer, a glass of Coke, two PB&J sandwiches, two packages of cheese crackers with peanut butter, and a blueberry Special K cereal bar.TO THE GYM!!! Vy'drach
Why, what do you normally eat?Either fast food (usually McDonalds), home cooked burgers or hotdogs, or pasta (I am a pasta fiend). Also, have chili frequently. Some good ol' rice and veggies can work wonders for your body compared to that.Cinnamon Toast Crunch, baby! WOOO!!!Lucky dog, love Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Four-eyed Vulpine
Speaking of Cookie Crisp, didn't the wolf mascot used to wear clothes? I remember him wearing a red sweater, and now he doesn't wear anything on the box.

Vy'drach
Not quite on topic, but similar, just had a shot of vodka due to being annoyed at being unable to find the case where my M14 bipod is. Actually, I am pretty sure I know where it is, just can't get to it.
