What if Krystal suddenly showed up at your school?

It's either her mere existence or the fact that she's probably the most popular character in the Star Fox Series atm among all Star Fox fans in general right now and that makes everyone else who isn't a fan antagonistic towards her.

not a very strong reason is it?

IMO no, it isn't.  However I'm sure other people have their more valid reasons - just as I have reasons for not liking certain characters from various video game series.

With me a couple of things might happen.

1) My brain gets the equivilent of the blue screen of death.

2) I run away screaming.

3) I calmly show her around and if she wants to hang out  revert to option 1

Welcome to SF-O!

Option No.1 made me laugh.

I would be shocked that she would even approach me, since the majority of people at my school think I'm a serial killer...very annoying...

I would show her around the school, to all the places she had inquiries about.

If she asked me if she wanted to hang out, or go on a date, I would be shocked, or I would pass out respectively.

I would agree though, and on that date or small venture, I would ask her what she was doing here. Regardless her reasons, I would be happy just to see the person who's haunted my dreams for so long.

For what's left of the day, we'd listen to music, watch a movie, have conversations about random things, and if she's around long enough watch the sunset, I love the sunset...

Not sure if haunted is the best choice of words since it implies a negative connotation. :P

True, but it's painful to meet someone for whom you would give your life for and feel the elation sweep over you until the alarm sounds and it's time to return to reality.

It's maddening, so as you can see it implies a negative connotation because of the fact that you can't get it out of your head, and you might never be able to realize your ultimate goal of meeting her.

Why would they think that? Sorry about the last stuff I posted, for real though I passed school recently so I probably wouldn't know if she was there or not.

I'm going to say this without sugar coating. You do not know her. At all. It's very stupid to have such a commitment to something that doesn't love you back or even exist for that matter. This kind of obsession is as unhealthy as they get.

I dunno, but his detailed posts about mangling people who'd hurt Krystal is a potential reason. :P

People think I'm a serial killer mainly because I don't talk much, wear black a lot, look mean, and, apparently, am very smart.

Is it not preposterous to love a book, your first car, or even a teddy bear? No, but when someone says they love someone like Krystal it becomes absurd, and inconceivable.

I know it seems foolish, and I know that it is unhealthy, but I also know that as long as I do what I love and love what I do, it matters not what others think of me.

From my perspective, it's whatever floats your boat.

Because you love Krystal like you do a car? Okay, if that's true, this "relationship" you have is so ridiculously superficial that it just becomes funny.

And yes, the above is sarcasm, before you freak out. Point is your counter point is in no way even CLOSE to your situation, as you love what you see as an ideal mate that you NEED to have rather than something you enjoy.

There is no relationship, I just like the way she looks and from what I've read about her, her attitude.

Perhaps it is superficial in the fact that I can't see her, therefor know nothing about her, but that won't stop me from feeling the way I do.

I can see the futility in continuing this argument, so for our sakes, and the sake of the thread, it's over. If you gain anything out of this conversation, then let it be that I think differently from you, and since that is the case, we may never come to terms on such topics as this.

It's a phase. It'll pass.

Son, I've been all over this subject with a lot of people. I do think it's clear that I know a lot about this subject.  We may never come to terms, but in most cases, that's because fanboys are in denial. At least you admit that you love is a shallow, one-way  love centered around her physical appearance complimented by a cardboard, unrealistic personality of how "nice" she is.

Hence why it's unhealthy. This energy and devotion could go to something much more productive. It's one thing to just think she's a hot babe, it's another entirely to dream about her all the time and set unobtainable goals and hopes surrounding her, especially since it's more than likely just a temporary phase and you'll forget all about her in like a year.

This has been going on since the first time I saw her, which was about three or four years ago...

Exactly. I had this phase (to a lesser extent, I just went to KLA and Krystal Archive...every day...and looked at some pretty yiff stuff on DA) too.

Well, i could defentaly say, that i love krystal. She is a postive role model to me. whatching fan films of her and fox brings me joy. I also love my avatar Martin The Warrior. No he dosn't exiset but i model my self after him, i try to look at a problem and think about how he would solve it, and reading about makes me happy. Just like a child who loves a basball player. they will probly never meet them and the baseball player won't realy love them back.

You just took the words right out of my mouth, I'd been thinking on this subject ever since I got off to watch some TV. Unfortunately for me I wasn't able to find the right words.

However, as it stands, we're all off topic. Perhaps we should get back to the reason this thread exists?

That's a different type of love. Ajc, I've already come to terms that your case, if it's not BS, is almost totally unique and only suited for someone with a childish mind. Legion certainly isn't another You and I'm for damn certain that his case is a romantic or sexual crush. In either case, in the sense of love-love, as in loving a wife and not a favorite game, CAN NOT, NOW OR EVER, HAPPEN. Love is a two way street, and by god it DOESN'T HAPPEN WITH A VIDEOGAME CHARACTER. Sure, you can crush all you like, be it sexual or just the idea of her (nonexistant tbh) character, but a level of obsession that extends beyond a once-in-a-while thought is absurd and a waste. You may argue that if you enjoy it it's not, but it can develop into a longing so strong it becomes a HINDERING ADDICTION.

Where was I. Oh yes. Love + fictional character = bad news and you'll never be happy, because it can't love back and satisfy your emotional needs ever. Hoping that one day she CAN is the epitome of my point about redirecting that energy.
