You were stung as a child. It happens.

I was stung as an adult as well. The amount I was stung was statistically significant in the direction of more than normal.

Let's see....

Open water

Random creaks or noises

heights

Spiders, bees, wasps, hornets, most insects

dark/murky water

I'll probably think of more later

I was stung in the ear as a child while picking corn. Yes, I grew up in the south.

You dont though, that's my point. The human brain does alot of freaky stuff. You can get that phobia down to a level where it doesn't bother you, but you plug your ears and go "lalalalala!" My guess, you want this. The reason, now that's something I cant answer.

Actually, I do know more about my mind than anyone else does. Most anyone other than me can make is an educated guess and assumptions. And if you'd read what I said, I said I do want it, subconsciously, and that it isn't always something scary that appears.

Mostly insects, Bees, mosquitos (Believe me, we have ALOT of them) and flies I don't mind, however when it comes to things like spiders, grasshoppers, and the like I get a little freaked out.

I have a huge fear of spiders, not surprisingly. And I also have a horrible fear of things happening to eyes... or joints of the body. It makes me squirm.

Eyes? As Bill Baily said "Pogonaphobia is an irrational fear of beards. I don't know if that means you are scared of people with beards, or scared that a giant beard is going to break into your house and burn all your receipts for the finantial year."

Spiders. Especially their eyes creep me out. Managed to train it partially away, and have later volounterely had a tarantuala walking over my hand

Becoming paralyzed.

I'm afraid of deep water, bonus points if murky. I can swim perfectly fine, but...

Because of what might be hiding under the surface?

Becoming paralyzed.

That`s terrifying >.< A loss of mobility would be horrible >.<

Heights, the idea of falling uncontrollably

lots of bugs in one place. I don't really mind creepy-crawlies unless they have stingers, but the haphazard way they move as a group is disgusting

violent death. i can't even watch movies with a drowning scene without my throat tightening up.

People touching the "vital" spots on my body (wrists, throat, etc)

Seeing something in my room (spider, mouse, whatever) and having it disappear and not knowing where it is.

Dunno if you'd want to watch this video, then. It's Bee vs. Jumping Spider by National Geographic, and it shows SERIOUS close-ups of the spider's eyes, to show how they see around and such. The video is pure awesome, however.
