What, and why, in your opinion is or are underrated games?

-The majority of the Star Fox games (So much hard work and potential put into them, except Command).

-Super Double Dragon (Fluid motions and excellent fight choreography).

-Donkey Kong Country 3 (Most innovative installment of a classic Nintendo first-party trilogy).

-Super Smash TV (Great, exciting fun to play and not as disturbing as the arcade game it's based on).

-Medabots Metabee and Rokusho (Story-wise it's like a mix of Earthbound and Megaman Battle Network).

-Luigi's Mansion (Luigi in his first, and thus-far only, starring role with amazing graphics, physics, story and gameplay).

-Virtual On: Cyber Troopers (Fast-paced mech fighting and an impeccable music score to go with it).

-Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time (Sprites and music that look and sound like they ripped right from the cartoon the game's based on).

-Red Steel 2 (Great cutscenes and heavily improved fighting controls over the original).

-Custom Robo Arena (Fast-paced mech fighting and an impeccable music score to go with it).

Dino Crisis 2

Parasite Eve 2

Now those were 2 games I greatly enjoyed.

I think Grandia is underrated. It was first released on the Sega Saturn, then later on PlayStation. A lot of people knock it because the English voice acting it awful, which is true at times, but it's a great story and so much fun.

Didn't Luigi star in the game Mario Is Missing?

Yes but the game can burn. It was more educational than 'Mario like'

Dirge of Cerberus...

One of my most favorite 3rd person shooter's, but when peopl "Final Fantasy" they automaticly think its going to suck and just leave it on used games shelf even though its probably less then 10 dollar's.

Yeeeah really.

Anyways, my vote would go to  Okami, which I consider superior than Twilight Princess. Muramasa: The demon sword (wii) is also a good game that never saw too much success outside Japan.

Goblin Commander - This deserved a sequel. Awesome gameplay. Awesome story. Awesome action

Crash Bandicoot - You never really hear if another one comes out...

Lost Kingdoms - If only it's popularity took off. This would make a great series. The gameplay and story is outstanding.

Master of Orion - One of the most brilliant RTSs out there. Definitely needs more.

Real War - One of my favorite RTSs

Majesty - A game with a very clever game mechanic. There's only 2, I think a 3rd would be well deserved.

Majesty, I remember playing that, it was fun to play, but it was too easy too kill enemies with lightning storm spam.

Dead Space Extraction.

It was actually well received by critics, but it just didn't sell well. Sure it's just another arcade rail shooter, but it had a good story and plenty of "HOLY S***" moments.

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System - Great game with a perfect mix of action and comedy. If only there were more.

Total Annihilation - One of THE best RTSs I have ever played. Too bad the Creators, Cavedog, went out of business. Nowadays some company is trying to continue it with titles called Supreme Commander but it's just not the same.

Darwinia - Nice little RTS with unique game mechanics.

Future Tactics - An interesting story mixed with drama, comedy, and alien blasting action. One of the best stories out of any Gamecube game.

I'll add more when I think of some.

Looks interesting, but as I mentioned in about the wii in other threads, I never bought it because you can the real, better dead space for cheaper. Why would I buy the tones down lightgun version?

Metal Arms <3 Ever finish it? It's bloody hard, and when I got to what I thought was the end, it just kept going and going. Has one of my favourite quotes

"I'll chase him, you go around and head him off at the pass!"

"Head him at the pass? What are you, some kind of f*cking cowboy?" -the game does beep it

Not played Future Tactics, but you might like a XBLA game called Commanders: Attack of the Genos. While it has an any genetics message, the game has grid based turn based stragagy ...based with 50s style art deco tanks and units. I never finished it, but it's fun if you're into that.

I didn't like Darwinia. I'm told uplink is good though.

I love Supcom. What in particular change didn't you like?

I did indeed finish Metal Arms. For the longest time though i was stuck on the scrapyard part with the "zombie" robots and the boss one at the end. I finally finished that and then got stuck somewhere in Morbot City. Which part are you stuck on? I know what you mean when you say it's hard. It seems that everything in that game causes you damage, even when you think you are far enough away from an explosion.

I've always liked the music in the game and just the hardcore, gritty feel to it. The dialogue is pretty funny. Especially the mechanic Krunk. And could you forget Agent Shhh? He was one of my favorite characters aside from the 2 shopkeeper bots.

I just read that apparently Metal Arms was supposed to have a sequel, but then Swingin' Ape Studios was bought by Blizzard Entertainment and was never released.

Well, I have only played the first Supreme Commander and I wasn't too impressed. Maybe I'll get around to buying the latest one and see how I like it.

I'm not stuck now, haven't played in years. Not sure if it was where I was stuck, but I remember one level where it's all heavy bots with shields in 1 huge open area.

SupCom 2 is very different from the first. Try the demo before you play it.
