EazyIN
The guys at G.S. say that these new 360s break down to that of a PS3 which is about 2%. I'll have to see it to believe it, but what do you all think of this new version? (Believe it or not I came close to buying one)

EazyIN
Not the recolored one, but the one with the new design (or sort of new design) that everyone's raving about.
Sabre
It's quieter. Not silent, just quieter then before. Personally, I have no feelings on it.
Guest Scorpion03
Quieter is good, my 360 elite makes an horrific amount of noise. Ive got one on pre-order (they dont get released here till next month). As for how often they break down we will find out about that soon enough, i think its a bit early to tell atm. But i think ure being a bit optimistic about the ps3, i have had just as much trouble with those as I have had with my 360.In fact the only next gen console that hasnt died on me is the Wii... guess nintendo are just better at building the damned things. Sapphire
It seems respectable. The main things of it being that it has wi-fi capibility and its a little quieter. But I probably wont get it. I gotta PS3 :)
evilwaffles
Those new 360's reminds me too much of the original PS3 design, glossy case, touch buttons, I mean come on. It is quieter and smaller but I still don't trust Microsoft for fixing the RRoD problem until I see it for myself. So in short, I just see this as a rip off the original PS3. (Believe it or not I came close to buying one)I been hearing all kinds of "Horror Stories" in the news, internet reviews, and stuff from my friends online and IRL about the XBox's problems...not always as bad as it seems in some stories. I've played XBox 360, and it's just simply "not for me".
Guest Scorpion03
Ah, for everything i will always prefer the 360 to the ps3, that machine is horrible, especially its controllers, and thats before u get stupid errors that seem to have no real explanation. So im interested in the new 360.Its ashame there isnt more games im interested in for the Wii, because i prefer that console to both the others, I have a release Wii and ive never had a single problem with it, making it much more useful than both of the other consoles, after all both the ps3 and 360 are really cheaply built and you can easily tell when they just break down all the time. It would be nice to see them actually consider spending a bit of money making sure these things survive a small knock or being moved around. I've played XBox 360, and it's just simply "not for me".Some model 1s were dodgy, and MS sorted it. Model 2s (the ones with 60gb HDD and the arcade ones from that line) fixed most of the failures. Mines a model 2 and I've never had issues with it.
Guest Para Astaroth
My personal opinion is that Micro$oft is trying to make more of an oppeal to the gamers out there with introducing the same console, but smaller and more compact. I mean, I believe the PS3 Slim was a waste since there were hardly any complaints about the thing breaking or overloading, but I will keep my money in my wallet on the 360 slim. My xbox is all I need to play right now and I won't waste another $300 to $400 on a console I already got that hasn't had any problems in a few years. Sapphire
They only made the new 360 not only for the wifi but also to prepare gamers for Kinect. or however you spell it

And besides, the only reason I would buy the new slim 360 is to have more space and room to put things whenever I move out.

CrypticQuery
Meh, it took them 5 years to correct severe problems and have built in wi-fi? If any other problems appear, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THEM TO FIX THAT?!? Never was a fan of Microsoft, I always preferred Sony, Nintendo, and Sega :D
