maybe, panther and krystal is a bad choice for BOTH of them, here are my opinions about that: 1- panther certainly would like a lot to be with krystal at the start, but i think he would feel within the days, more and more "caged" in the relationship, look well: he is a lady's man, a free guy who never keeps a strong relation, he is always on the "hunt", and with his spirit calling for his "wildness", he would end up breaking with krystal. 2- i don't think nintendo would put up  + , i am amolst sure about that.

It is because I absolutely love  ! It is my absolute favorite VG pairing of all time. That, and I also enjoy pairing Panther with Miyu. That way, everything is fine and fair to me. It is just how StarFox is to me whenever I play the games.

That was your admission of the double-standard. Don't say it's not, because you're clearly showing preferential treatment to Fox over Panther in the same situation just because of your preference for Fox and Krystal getting together.

Alright, I worded that wrong. Yes, I support Fox and Krystal getting together and I have, on a number of occasions including early in this thread, voiced why I do. I have offered my take on their canon relationship, in that I feel they have done everything to deserve each other, and I have agreed with or respected with other's takes too.

As for the deal with Panther, he has been listed by Nintendo (in his SSBB trophy & SF:AS Guide and instruction manual) to behave the way he does around all attractive females, and we have yet to see him meet one other than Krystal. I feel paring him with Miyu would suit him well, and I believe it would bring some good character development for him. I feel it would work out for the better this way.

No offense or disrespect to you intended at all Samantha and I apologize if it comes off as such, but I must respectfully disagree with you on the double standard issue. I just don't see it as such. Again, it might be best if we just move on. We have obviously both made up our minds. A back and forth would really get us no where.

This is an opinion forum, and squabbles between people's opposing viewpoints is just going to keep going around and around.

Everyone is entitled to how they think Krystal and Fox should or should not be with each other. There is no need to get all upset at one another just because they believe in something. Let's leave it up to Nintendo and see if they develop the characters further.

Personally I believe the Command game to be non-canon mainly because of how you can have different endings just because you take different routes. There is no true canon ending, therefore "I" consider the game to be non-canon, whether you agree or disagree is totally your opinion.

Also another downside is that it was most likely difficult for them to continue the series on the DS, Due to limits: and maybe the DS was just a different "time-line", we don't know that though.... just a thought

I believe if, and when they release a game for the Wii I believe that Command will be considered non-canon and that the true game continuer will be revealed in the wii or whenever Nintendo releases a new console.

All we can do is hope.

The double standard is that while you would forgive Fox for HIS transgressions against Krystal, you won't forgive Panther's hypothtical ones, entirely on the basis that you like Fox+Krystal more. That is favortism, and it is a double standard because you are allowing one character to get away with something another would not.

We're not getting upset because of their opinion, we're getting upset over how that opinion is justified. Again, see this: Yes, the entire topic is based on opinion, but that doesn't mean you can just go "lalalalala because I said so".

And your input on Command is needless and fluffy. The point of the matter about Command is if you IGNORE it, Fox and Krystal aren't a pairing, and if you accept it, they clearly made a very shitty one.

In that case, this topic should have been over with on the second or third page. Everyone says, "Yes" or "No" and it's over.

Isn't the point of a forum discussion? Where does discussion come from? A topic is presented, people voice opinions and reasons, and then those opinions and reasons are discussed. There would be no point to a forum if all we did was put our opinions out there and gave no feedback to others.

And before you say it, no. Not all feedback has to be positive. Negative feedback can be helpful as a learning experience, which at least is my goal when I provide it, because there are effective ways of thinking and fallacious ways of thinking. It's best to work toward the effective ways and away from the fallacious. That said, I'm also here to learn from other people's feedback. This isn't a one-way street. If you have a problem with something I say, explain why and I might take it to heart.

Open communication, people. The only reason this has turned from a discussion to an argument is because people have taken things too personally. This is the Internet; don't take things too seriously or you're going to be in for a world of hurt.

It's impossible to completely detach yourself, yes, or you wouldn't be here, but you can guard against getting offended just because someone points out a flaw in your logic. It's not a big deal, and if you look at it closely you may or may not even find the criticism to be valid.

I'm not trying to make anyone change their mind about anything. The worst I got was at ajc3000fox and his incredibly infuriating childishness and lack of willingness to actually discuss anything, and continuously changing the subject when he was forced into a corner about debate. I don't think I am "right", because there is no RIGHT or WRONG, because this is entirely about what our thoughts on the matter are. If anything was right, it'd have to be canonized by Nintendo.

Logical thinking and explanation is a standard I think everyone should follow. Because you know, thinking illogically leads to dumbassery. And I'm just going to ignore that politician crack.
