Why do you not like Krystal?

Kursed

Her belly-button isn't pierced, and she doesn't wear a thong. :P

I'm just joking, of course...I like Krystal a lot, the only flaw I see with her is that her back-story is missing (Thanks a lot Rare and SF-Adventures).

Also, I don't like the "Kursed" thing from SF-Command.  Heck, I don't like ANYTHING about her in/from SF-Command.

I agree with this 99% (only because I don't remember every single thing that happened, otherwise it is 100%)

But hey, that IS a good reason to love her!

Not love, per se, but...

Because she 'dragged' me into the 'furry',

something that was quite hard to leave after

that.

Not to kick a dead horse, DRL, but I again get the feeling you're not gone. Your last few posts about this long dead point is evidence, as is your presense on a site that you have long lost interest in.

Once a furry, always a furry. :P

I know of NO ONE personally that has been in the fandom and can honestly say they left the fandom 100%.  Because if they did truly leave the fandom, all of their RL and online interactions would clearly indicate as such.  It's like leading by example. Not saying you wouldn't be the first but I'm having difficulty believing your claims from what I've seen so far. Milkyway already pointed one example out. It's one thing to talk all you want about how you're not in the fandom anymore but words are just that...words.

Furthermore, from the tone of your words it sounds like you're making the fandom out to be in a negative light of sorts.

I NEVER said I lost 'interest' in

Star Fox. All the contrary, I mentioned

before that I 'Still like Starfox', or like

that. Also, just because I am not a furry,

does not means I can not have friends who

are furries.

Once a furry, always a furry. :P

Just because you took drugs

before, does not means you have

to take them again. Sure, there IS

a chance of you falling back in the

addiction, I am not going to deny that,

but ultimately you are the one who makes

the choices.

Furthermore, from the tone of your words it sounds like you're making the fandom out to be in a negative light of sorts.

You want me to stop talking

about it? Fine. It is just the only

thing I have to talk about, other

than school. In fact, not even school,

because our Winter Break has just

begun today.

FREAKING FURRIES AND THEIR STUBBORNESS!!!

Only it's totally different from a drug addiction. Being a furry is a preference, not a hook.

And what have we here? Being a furry (or not thereof) is the only thing you have to talk about? Really?

Therefore you give me right.

One can alter one's prefferences,

OR they may change over time.

About 'news', yes.

Agreed, I apologize for de-railing this.

As I have said, I like her for being part

of the Star Fox, which I love, but I do not

like her in the sense that she is what originally

made me a furry.

This is true, but only to a certain extent. You can not decide to suddenly not like pizza anymore. You can't suddenly decide you like brown better than blue. You can't suddenly decide that anthros no longer appeal to you, unless the interest as a whole just fell off-

About 'news', yes.

Wait, wait, nevermind. Not the case, especially since it means so little to you now that it is the ONLY going-on you feel fit to talk about.

Why does everybody say stuff like this? Topics can only be on topic for so long, then they go in a new direction. This is usually the result of two opinions clashing and making a new discussion altogether, or that everyone has had their say and are ready to open up into free discussion with the original topic as a base.

In this case, it's not a derailment. It is a subdiscussion spawned from someone's reason on why they do not like Krystal. This is not a lock worthy event, it's doing what forums promote.

But you can decide to vecome

vegetarian. Over time, you will

not feel right eating meat, NOR

meat will taste right. It happened

to me before, been forced to eat

it, and it taste like an awfull bubblegum.

Why? Because one day I decided that

eating meat was not right.

You can will yourself to do things.

So then, you willed yourself to not be a furry anymore? Why? Even then, results do vary. I know at least 4 people who tried the same with no luck, including myself. I didn't always want to be a furry, and even now it's not something I ideally want to be, I just accept that it's what I am.

What?

What I meant is, if the only news you have about yourself is your furry status, you're pppprrrrroobably still in this fandom enough to be considered so. Correct me if I am wrong, but most nonfurs I know don't talk about how much they are not a furry.

I have my reasons. Mainly,

I do not want my family to

think I am a freak.

Perhaps I must try harder.

So then, you admit this is not your personal preference or decision to get rid of your furriness, but an effort you are making to avoid flak from those around you.  A fear thing.

Perhaps I must try harder.

Try if you can. My observation says you will fail, and the furthest you will get is delusion. It's much harder to change than you may think, maybe even impossible?

F**K!

It is not 'fear'. I know my

parents will take however I am,

but they already think I am 'strange'

enought.

"Well mother and father, I have to

say I feel attracted to anthropomorphic

characters, and if they were real, I

would marry an anthropomorphic vixen."

UGH! That does sound stupid.

I wanted to stop eating meat because

of some reason, and thus, I willed myself

to stop liking it. Today's, eating a steak,

hot dog, ANYTHING that is meat, will taste

to me like a rotten bublegum. And I am not

lying at that, you can ask how annoying

I get at food time.

And this is why you also leave furriness where it belongs. There is really nothing to gain by sharing it with everyone in the same way you don't tell everyone you love feet if you were a foot fetishist. It's your business and your business alone until you choose to let others in on it.

Fetishes are not fine.

You should not have them

in the first place. When you

have a fetish, something is

just not right.

Also now EVERYONE

knows why I do not want

to be a furry. Fine, enought

drama for me.

I will get this acursed

furry thing off me!

Fetishes are common and almost everyone has one. Most certainly are not normal, but "wrong" is something else entirely. I don't think they are, for if they were so would any way you could entertain yourself that did not directly benefit you.

Anyway, it sounds a lot like you still haven't escaped with the words you are using. I thought you were really totally done? Is this not the case anymore, or are you for some reason speaking from the past?

'Strangely' enought, only the

people I have meet does.

And not everyone.

To be honest, I am having a hard time

And the fact that you've been untruthful with this means when you come back and say it is off you, how can we be sure? How can YOU be sure? (Yes, it is possible to lie to yourself)

This line of discussion is done it seems. Conclusion as you have admitted thus far is that you are still sort of a furry and are trying to ditch it on a point indirect to you, and in this topic you blamed Krystal for it. GG

Everyone has a fetish of some sort. It's just a sexual attraction to something that has nothing to do with reproduction.

Do you (assuming you are male) like breasts? If so, you have a fetish. Feet? Fetish. Basically an attraction to anything but something that may result in a baby is a fetish.

Yeah, some are more extreme than others, but if there's nothing harmful about them, there's nothing wrong with them either. The harm that furries cause is because they are human, not because of their fetish. A pedophile or sadist, however, has the potential to cause great harm and therefore should probably receive therapy of some sort.

While it's not perfect, I think the best way to tolerate things is through the Harm Principle, described here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harm_principle

Maybe I'm just defensive, being a furry myself as well as something more sinister but equally harmless unless practiced. Either way, I find that so long as people can separate fantasy from reality, there's no reason to call other people "sick" or hate them for something so superficial as a fetish.

And yes, you -can- "fix" stuff like this, but it's a miswiring in the brain and the odds of doing it yourself are fairly low. Takes a lot of discipline, and the best way you can "fix" it is to stop thinking about it at all, as much as you can. You might have to distance yourself from everything furry, including this site, if dropping it is really your goal. I know it's hard, but so was going vegetarian, I bet.

EDIT: And apparently the discussion was done while I was typing my behemoth. :(
