Fluxy
Iv'e been using my mac osx to go on SF-O and do fanart while I use my laptop to play games, and write my fanfiction and scripts. And yes, for those who didn't know, I'm a writer. I like to consider myself a writter. Well, more a poet writter, I won some awards for it.OT: Laptops for me are much more useful, only because I have to move around a lot, So if I ever get onto a desctop, it's not for long, but they are nice
Fureox
Desktops are a bit too bulky and stationary for me, but if I had the spotand money for one, I probably would buy one.
Fana McCloud
ah , but then i would want i desktop for the better qualityNot everyone has the luxury of being able to sit up and stationary in a chair for several hours though, and would still find a laptop better for their needs. My step dad has a laptop because he increasingly found that his back pains were getting to be too much, so he could no longer use a desktop. Similarly there are people who just can't stay still in their own homes and need that portability (as has already been mentioned), and who don't have rather large computing needs - aside from e-mail, IM, and websurfing, that's all they need. Maybe it can play some older games like my step does on his. So it just depends on who ya are. XD I'd LOVE to have a netbook myself, even though it wouldn't replace my desktop. I might be able to set up remote desktop software on it though so that I can still do the things only my desktop can handle remotely, hehehehe.
