Guest Mr. Mario
I don't know if any of you guys have heard of these titles before but you get to make your own RPG games with your created characters, levels, dungeons and etc.Kinda like Final Fantasy if you ask me.I currently own RPG maker II & III, using these games, I have been trying to make a Star Fox game on them but...my ideas for enimies, characetrs and levels blew up, so I quitted it. However though, I'm still coming up with plenty of game ideas to use or perhaps even create my own game. They are pretty rare games to find, however I bought II and III at gamestop before it was gone. I did blow my chance to get RPG maker I CAUSE IT IS SO D*MN EXSPENSIVE!!!!Also, if you wish to contribute any game ideas, characters and areas, I am fine with that. Here is what the games look like if you think it is absoltue make-up.^ That is the one I DO NOT OWN. CrypticQuery
Looks pretty cool, I used to have a PC RPG maker, that was unrelated to these, lying around somewhere on my old computer. I'll probably retrieve it one day .
Sarita
I have RPG Maker 3. It was... overwhelming to say the least.
Sabre
The only interesting game I ever saw made with these was the horribly written and never finished Resident Evil RPG.My issue is that these are designed to make JRPGs, and as such the battles are dull and full of grind.Having never used them, I assume theres a tile editor and a some kind of story bit?My advice. Keep well away from JRPG stories. An angsty teen has to single handedly save the world has been done to death in professonal games.
DarthDelgado
The only RPG maker I know of is that stupid computer program I wasted a few hours of my life trying to work.I never did BTW.

DarthDelgado
It wasn't that hard to figure out! Quite the contrary, I couldn't do shit with it.Now don't get me started on Game Maker.
Guest Mr. Mario
Well I still have plenty of game ideas to create. The only thing that ticks me off is the gameplay in RPG maker 3 is like a CLONE of Final Fantasy. No matter hwat your game is, it has to be a clone. SUPER STOOPID. Robert Monroe
The best RPG Maker at the moment is XP, I beleive. Its for PC, and it has dicktons of customization.I played around alot with the original RPG maker, but my game was bugged and there wasn't a tile placing coursor, so when I got to map building..... no dice. The only interesting game I ever saw made with these was the horribly written and never finished Resident Evil RPG.My issue is that these are designed to make JRPGs, and as such the battles are dull and full of grind.Having never used them, I assume theres a tile editor and a some kind of story bit?My advice. They are not defaulted into being the typical JRPG story. Hell, in most recent expansions, you don't even have to use the turnbased battle system if you know your way around, and the grinding can be eliminated by giving the enemies high EXP drops. EVERYTHING is customizable in these games, the character sprites, the backgrounds, the story, title screen, monsters, spells, ect.

JRPG right there:) This was the computer one though, where you could import your own pics 'n stuff. A bunch of the animals where already in there anyways. Too bad I couldn't think of anymore ideas for the game, so I cancelled it.The best RPG Maker at the moment is XP, I beleive. Its for PC, and it has dicktons of customization.Yes it is for the PC. The problem is though, most games that allow you to make your own games or such is too hard to find nowadays, even if it has been released since 2005. Luckily we all have eBay to search for those games there since they would likely end up as an auction. Then again it is too exspensive to buy. I wanted to make a scrolling beat em up, but beats of Rage engine was bloody awful. I'm currently waiting to see if Streets of Rage Remake will be up to much tools wise. I was going to have Krystal as a playable characer in it. Maybe one day I will make it.
