As of early 2006, Midway Executive, Ed Boon, has annouced the final chapter in the current Mortal Kombat generation. That's right folks, this is the final end that will conclude this saga of Mortal Kombat and move on with a "clean slate" EVERY single character, boss and sub-boss will be featured in this game as playable character. That's a total of 60 characters from all previous games from the first game all the way to Deception. Also, some characters might survive, while many others will stay dead for good. The tagline is "The Final Drop of Blood"

As for the features, there will be new directional throws, a new customizable Fatality engine, and finally, the ability to create your very own character, and even create your own martial-arts style as well, even name it yourself! Plus, The Krypt has been replaced with The Vault, which can actually be accessed at anytime during gameplay. Konquest mode has also been upgraded, and is made to play just like Shaolin Monks. And as mentioned above, all 60 characters from all MK games are playable.

Well, with all this, this is truly the game that fans had been eager to play for many years to come. It will be released on the Next-Gen systems October 2006.

What is your opinion?

Armageddon will rock no doubt. And I agree with Ramuza. (I bought a PS2 just for Sly Cooper and Twisted Metal: Black)
